Here’s how you can savour popular dishes from these fan-fave brands without braving the heat
Are you a homebody who prefers eating in, or simply someone who enjoys the convenience of having your food delivered straight to your doorstep, especially after an exhausting work week?
Well, that makes two of us. Nothing beats lounging around and savouring our favourite fare in the comfort of our home, after all.
What if we told you that you can savour dishes from your go-to brands — it would be just like dining in-store (but sans the crowd!).
All you need to do is check your trusty Grab app and you can find all the favourite brands that you know and love, in one place!
With just a few taps, you can browse a vast selection of cult-favourite brands (Tim Hortons, Jumbo Seafood, anyone?) and different cuisines that are exclusively on the platform.
Not only do you skip the heat and queues, but you’ll also enjoy a hassle-free dining experience — all without setting foot outside.
The Grab app is a one-stop shop for all your dining needs, which makes ordering in so much easier and fuss-free.
We ordered from a trio of well-loved restaurants on Grab Signatures, which are exclusively on the Grab platform, to test this out.
1. Tim Hortons
One of us on the HungryGoWhere team — specifically, the writer of this article — is an avid sweet tooth, so we had to grab a couple of treats from renowned coffee chain Tim Hortons to get our dessert fix.
Founded in 1946 in Hamilton, Ontario, Tim Hortons is a coffee and bake shop that has steadily garnered a reputation over the decades for offering some of the finest donuts around.
If you recall, the brand unveiled its first local outpost in Singapore back in 2023 and has been rapidly expanding across our island since then.
With its immense popularity, queues are to be expected when you’re visiting an outlet — even until now. But with the Grab app, you can just order it for delivery right to your doorstep.
The sourdough sandwiches are a banger at Tim Hortons and we really appreciate how they’re chock-full of ingredients and toppings. Previously, they were sold in-store only for dine-in customers, but are now available for order on Grab.
The folks at Tim Hortons aren’t playing with the quality of their food at all — just take a look at the amount of filling in this pesto chicken tomato and cheese sandwich (S$11.10)!
It’s a savoury sourdough melt bookended by two crispy slices of grilled sourdough bread, with juicy, tangy tomatoes layered in pesto and gooey cheese. It’s a crunchy, layered delight that drips with ingredients.
The triple cheese and caramelised onion sandwich (S$10.10) is one for cheese lovers.
Unwrap the sandwich from its packaging to reveal a drool-worthy combination of creamy melted cheeses and sweet caramelised onions nestled between grilled sourdough bread. The top of the bread is lightly toasted for a slight crisp, which lends a lovely crunch and bite.
Both sandwiches held their shape well even after opting for delivery.
The donuts are a must-get when you’re ordering from Tim Hortons — they’re its speciality, after all. We handpicked a couple of its bestselling flavours — the highlights for us are the Belgian dark chocolate donut (S$4.90) and caramel Biscoff donut (S$3.90).
The treats were neatly delivered in a box and they arrived in perfect shape and condition. None of the donuts was smudged or squashed (which tends to be a common occurrence during food deliveries, or when we try to carry them home ourselves!)
We recommend ordering the donuts on the Grab app, where you can be one of the first to choose your choice of flavours. The donuts usually sell like hotcakes, so you want to snag them quick.
Don’t forget the signature Timbits (from S$12), which are available in a box of 10. They come in an assortment of flavours and fillings such as original glaze, yuzu cream and kaya, though we lean towards the cinnamon sugar.
The latter are bite-sized balls of joy that are thoroughly dusted in sweet cinnamon sugar. You don’t have to worry about them being too sweet, though, as it has a mild cinnamon spice that balances it all out.
2. Tsui Wah
Whenever the craving for comforting Hong Kong fare hits, we gravitate towards Tsui Wah, a reputed cha chaan teng (teahouse) chain with a plethora of outlets in Hong Kong, Macau, China and of course, Singapore.
It’s exclusively on the Grab, too, so you don’t have to leave your house just to savour its wares.
Food-wise, the bulk of its original Hong Kong menu is available in Singapore, so you get to taste its authentic dishes in all its flavourful glory.
If you’re unsure of what to order for takeout, here’s a list of our favourite dishes that hit the spot when the cravings struck this week.
Don’t sleep on the bestselling barbecued pork with scrambled eggs and rice (S$17.80). It’s a fan-favourite at Tsui Wah for a good reason.
Just look at the glistening, chunky slices of barbecued pork, with that perfectly charred, smoky exterior. Right from the get-go, we can tell that the meat is juicy and succulent, and it is — every bite oozes a savoury, umami goodness.
Perched atop a bed of rice is a creamy blanket of scrambled eggs that’s oh-so-light and fluffy and pairs with the pork wonderfully.
Another top pick of ours at Tsui Wah is the tasty luncheon meat and egg with instant noodles (S$10.80). This is a staple item commonly found at cha chaan tengs in Hong Kong, featuring a crispy wedge of luncheon meat and lightly crusted fried egg atop silky noodles.
Though simple, it’s a timeless dish that picks you up upon the first bite.
Even after having the noodles delivered, they still retain their spring and aren’t soggy at all. The light, comforting broth also remains hot, warming our souls with every sip. Also lifting the otherwise soupy dish with a savoury oomph is the luncheon meat and fried egg, which pack a whole lotta flavour.
When we’re swinging by Tsui Wah, the spicy shrimp dumplings (S$14.80 for eight pieces) are a must-order item.
The rotund dumplings are evenly coated in a fiery, spice-packed chilli oil with the right amount of heat. We were expecting them to come slightly cold (and hence be less flavourful), but the dumplings came steaming and stuffed to the brim with plump shrimps.
If you’d like to end the meal on a sweet note, go for the crispy bun with condensed milk (S$5).
Its tantalising golden-brown hues and crispy edges make it a well-loved treat among regulars, though we weren’t sure if the bun would still retain its crisp and shine after delivery.
It’s safe to say we were surprised, as the bread did, in fact, arrive crispy. It’s flaky in the corners and fluffy in the middle, which definitely hits the spot as a post-meal treat.

3. Paris Baguette
They say there’s always room for desserts and the adage holds true when it comes to beloved household brand Paris Baguette’s sweets.
Headquartered in Seoul, this famed bakery is well-known for its French-style pastries and pantry staples. It’s a one-stop shop for all your baked goods — think cakes, viennoiseries and so on — and they’re all affordably priced, too.
Now exclusively on Grab, you can browse your favourite Paris Baguette treats on the app and order them straight to your doorstep — you don’t even need to head out in the heat!
All eyes on the sliced strawberry yoghurt charlotte cake (S$10.90) — it deserves a moment of its own.
It’s a gorgeous lil’ thing that draws your eye from the moment it’s unwrapped at the table, with layer upon layer of pastel-hued strawberry mousse and strawberry filling embedded within the cake. It’s then embellished with spongy ladyfingers and strawberries for that final, sweet touch.
Chocolate lovers will be enraptured by the Paris Rocher cake (S$10.90), which is dressed in a luscious chocolate shell ingrained with crushed nuts.
It’s every sweet tooth’s dream, as it features a dainty hazelnut mousse cake layered with vanilla sponge, hazelnut cream and nougat. It’s a sinful dessert that tastes like sheer indulgence, and we’d order this again in a heartbeat.
Since we’re on chocolate-themed desserts, the sliced double choco fudge cake (S$8.90) is another delectable parcel of happiness that we’d gladly take on the calories for.
Compared to the other two cakes on the list, this one is very rich in chocolate and significantly heavier on the palate. It touts a dense, chocolate-filled body and is coated with chocolate fudge frosting.
We recommend tucking into this last, solely because of how decadent it is. But don’t take your time on this, though, as it’s best savoured cold and fresh from the box.
We also grabbed the Duet roll cake (S$17.50) to go. It’s a classic dessert that will charm both the young and old and comes in a unique hybrid combination of both raspberry and chocolate.
It’s held together by plastic packaging and veiled in a slender box, so the cake will make the distance and be delivered in tip-top condition.
We can see why this pound cake is one of the bestsellers. It’s soft and fluffy, with swirls of sweet cream folded within. For its price, you also get the best of both flavours — great for those who can never make up their mind on which flavour to go for.
