Froyo concept Yo-Chi opens fourth SG outlet at I12 Katong, collabs with Chin Mee Chin

LeAnn Lee | November 5, 2026

Easties, your wait for Froyo is over!

Aussie froyo brand Yo-Chi has drawn snaking queues since it opened its first Singapore outpost in Orchard Central in 2025.

A little over a year later, it’s bringing frozen yoghurt to the heart of Joo Chiat.

It officially opened today (November 5) at I12 Katong shopping centre.

The brand’s newest and fourth outlet takes the space formerly occupied by PS Cafe, to the left of the main entrance. Both indoor and outdoor seating areas are available.

This outlet also features Yo-Chi’s bear mascot dressed in a Peranakan kebaya, painted by local artist Nicia Lam — an ode to Katong’s Peranakan heritage.

Special collaboration with local heritage brand

To celebrate its new home, Yo-Chi has teamed up with the century-old Chin Mee Chin Confectionery for some extra special toppings.

Established in 1925, the kaya-toast specialist has been a mainstay in the Katong precinct for decades.

There are two new yoghurt toppings to look forward to.

First up is an I12 Katong outlet-exclusive choux puffs — airy choux pastries piped freshly on-site with a light and fluffy kaya cream at its live Chin Mee Chin station — that’s available for three days only.

500 creamy puffs will be available daily until November 7, so make sure to head down early if you’re looking to snag one for yourself.

You’ll also get first dibs on the kaya Swiss roll — decadent kaya cream encased in thin layers of sponge cake. This topping will be available exclusively at I12 Katong, before it’s rolled out to the remaining Yo-Chi stores at Orchard Central, Star Vista, and Westgate from November 8..

Of course, don’t forget to load up on all the other beloved Yo-Chi toppings, from bouncy marshmallows to indulgent chocolate sauces.

New froyo flavour alert

Together with Yo-Chi’s new breakfast-inspired toppings, it’s also launching a brand new iced latte froyo flavour!

Much like the kaya Swiss roll, this new flavour will be available exclusively at I12 Katong, before launching at all other outlets across the island from November 8.

Now, how does it match up against your morning cuppa? It reminds us of 3-in-1 instant coffee — sweet with a caffeinated kick — just in froyo form.

But, if you’re looking to stick to Yo-Chi’s tried-and-true classic flavours, all 10 standard flavours — signature tart, mango, classic vanilla, acai, chocolate, matcha, strawberry cream, salted butterscotch, cookies and cream, and ube — are still available at its usual prices, which start from S$3.50 for 100g.

This was a hosted tasting.
