New break-up spot? Omote opens all-pink burger diner Bunny’s at Lentor, serves signature Breakup burger
We’ve recommended plenty of date-spots, but how about the perfect break-up spot?
Bunny’s is a new Japanese-inspired burger diner at the new Lentor Modern.
Opened by the Omote folks, its signature is called the Breakup burger!

As people like to say: “The way to my heart is through my stomach,” perhaps another way to break someone’s heart is through their stomach, too.
Jokes aside: Bunny’s is the newest concept by Omote — with Japanese-Italian joint Nolita also opening in Lentor Modern just a few weeks ago — and it’s got the most whimsical decor and concept.

First up, the space is awash in pink. Bright bubble-gum pink.
The bold pink overtones are meant to channel vibes from Tokyo’s Harajuku ‘hood, known for its exuberance and over-the-top quirkiness.

Besides that, Bunny’s walls are lined with a whole fleet of adorable prints that bear quotable mantras such as, “I work to buy matcha, I buy matcha to work” and “literally just a girl”.
That youthful energy extends to other fixtures, such as its bins, which are labelled “toxic feelings” and “trashy ex”.

It’s also got a bit of a retro touch here — there’s a photobooth disguised as a retro payphone, and burger-ordering kiosks masquerading as ATMs.
Girlies who are looking for photo opps will want to check out the photowall, and a display full of eye-catching, heart-shaped “handbags” with numbers printed on them — these also double-up as your order number tag!
Burgers for breakups and confessions

While we quipped about Bunny’s being the perfect breakup spot, it’s probably a good confession spot, too.
The menu at Bunny’s is full of zany names. Besides the Breakup burger (S$21), there’s also the Red Flag (S$25), Catfish (S$20), and Boyfriend (S$32).
Different strokes for different folks, and something for each occasion!

Bunny’s beef patties are house-made and use wagyu beef, while its Japanese-style brioche is custom-made and uses kombu butter for extra fragrance.
So, if you bring your non-committal situationship here, definitely get the Breakup burger to let them know you’re sick of their shtick— the taste is a plus point, too.
The Bunny’s signature comes with two smash patties, chilli bacon jam, yuzu pickled onions, and a punch of potato crispies.

It’s a good balance of textures and flavours, with the crusty patty and the crispy potatoes giving it a sensual crunch, while the jam and pickled onions give it a kiss of vibrance.
If you have a crush that might need a not-so-subtle hint, Bunny’s Boyfriend burger is the perfect choice.
Loaded up with a juicy wagyu patty and slices of wagyu-steak tataki, this one’s gratuitously meaty and hearty — it will definitely satisfy even the bigger eaters.

While there are many relationship-themed burgers, those who are happily single are welcomed at Bunny’s, too.
You can get yourself the Singles burger (S$22), which features a panko-crusted prawn patty, chunky potato mash, and umami sauce.
Bunny’s prawn patty reminds us of the one by Mos Burger, but elevated, with the umami sauce and potatoes adding a pleasant contrast to the QQ prawns.
Sure, there are plenty of fish in the sea, but some people just aren’t looking for fish right now — and that’s wise, since there are plenty of catfish out there.
There’s also an option to make it a set (from S$4), so you can complete your meal with a side and a drink.
The sides are less audacious but nonetheless quite extensive, with eight different options, ranging from the British-style Phat fries (S$4) to nachos with sour cream (S$6).

Nuggets (S$5) fans can also opt for Bunny’s rendition, which has a texture that reminds us of those from the Golden Arches, and comes with a tangy apricot dip.
More importantly, Bunny’s has a whopping 10 housemade speciality sauces, for those who are obsessed with mixing and matching dips (S$2)— think chipotle southwest, truffle mayo, pink tartare, and more!
If the audacious pink colour scheme isn’t telling enough, Bunny’s has a bunch of other elements that would make the girlies’ light up.

For example: Have you ever wanted to eat fast food with strawberry matcha (S$6)? If so, here’s your chance.
You also have other zesty thirst-quenching options, ranging from yuzu lemonade (S$4) to sparkling lemonade (S$3). Plus, all the drinks can be turned into sea-salt ice-cream floats for S$3 extra!
Is this a reason to go to the new Lentor Modern? Maybe. We think many people would love to visit Bunny’s just for its one-of-a-kind decor and concept!
