Popular Chinese ice cream and BBT brand BingXue opens in Singapore with S$1 matcha soft-serve, nothing above S$4.50
There’s no doubt we Singaporeans love our sweets — it’s evident from the long queues that can be found at every bubble tea store and the amount of cafes that go viral for their desserts.
Alas, bubble tea can be expensive and as any BBT addict knows, can burn a hole in the wallet.
Fortunately, there’s a new kid on the block that might just be what sweet-toothed Singaporeans are looking for: Popular Chinese brand BingXue Tea and Ice Cream has just opened in Singapore!
Its first outlet is located at Yishun Junction 9 and officially launched on Oct 2. Since then, it has already drawn in some crowds.
The brand, which originates from Shandong, first opened in 2014 and already has over 3,000 outlets worldwide, including outlets in Malaysia and Indonesia.
This will be BingXue’s first Singapore outlet, with more outlets already in the works. In fact, a second outlet is already slated to open on Oct 15 at Changi City Point!
Plus, to ensure consistency, the brand has also sent over their trainers to supervise the local staff to make sure everything is in order.
S$1 matcha soft-serve
So what exactly should you order, if you decide to pop by BingXue’s new Singapore outlet?
The must-order is the all-time bestseller S$1 ice cream, served in a cone and available in vanilla, matcha, or mixed flavours.
Yes, you heard that right, S$1 ice cream! It’s a nice little sweet treat with a touch of earthy matcha fragrance to it.
Besides that, BingXue also has a rather extensive beverage menu that spans the entire gamut, from the classic milk tea and bubble tea, to fresh fruit tea and coconut milk-based drinks.
More importantly, nothing on the menu is priced above S$4.50. We’re talking large cups, not just small ones.
Milk tea options include matcha red bean milk tea (S$3) and brown sugar bubble tea (S$3 for medium, S$3.50 for large).
There’s also the supreme milk tea (S$3.50), which is essentially bubble tea with three toppings (pearl, coconut jelly and red bean) for extra mouthfeel — a fun drink for those who enjoy something to munch on, throughout the workday!
One-litre juice buckets
For something a lil’ less indulgent, there are also plenty of fresh fruit tea options, with popular options such as the freshly squeezed lemonade (S$2.50), strawberry jasmine tea (S$3.50), kiwi goodness (S$3 for medium, S$3.50 for large) and juice buckets.
When we say bucket, we mean it: BingXue serves up one-litre juice buckets for those times when just a regular cup ain’t enough of a fix.
You have a choice of either the grape juice bucket (S$4), or rainbow fresh fruit bucket (S$4.50), a refreshing and citrusy concoction containing fresh watermelon, orange, passionfruit, lemon, and lime.
If those are not quite your vibe, there are also some unique coconut milk specials on BingXue’s menu, including mango pomelo (S$3.50) and honey peach coconut milk (S$3.50).
Oh, but that’s not all: New monthly specials for BingXue Singapore are in the works to make things more exciting, starting with a pandan drink for November.
Dessert fans should head down for the matcha ice cream and drinks ASAP before the queues get crazy!
