Popular burger food truck Ye Olde Cow pops up at Haji Lane’s Good Luck, serving beef hotdogs and sandwiches

Burger lovers in Singapore would surely have caught wind of a popular food truck located near One-North MRT station that specialises in burgers.
Started in 2022, Ye Olde Cow is known for its gourmet aged-beef smash burgers, sold at a more affordable price than what they usually go for at restaurants.

However, the team has something different lined up for this month: Ye Olde Cow is popping up at Haji Lane’s Good Luck and… It’s not selling burgers.
Named “We’ve Got Beef”, this team-up between Ye Old Cow and the popular craft beer bar will instead focus on hearty American sandwiches, ranging from old-school hotdogs, to bodega-style sandwiches such as Cubanos.
This is a month-long collaboration and will run until Apr 30.
We’ve Got Beef

You can take the name of this pop-up quite literally.
Ye Olde Cow is serving up seven different sandwiches at Good Luck and, excluding the grilled cheese toastie, all of them feature beef.
Even traditionally non-beef sandwiches get beefed up for this occasion. For example, the classic Cubano is given a bovine twist for this pop-up, offered up in the form of the playfully named Cowbano (S$22).

Although it deviates from the time-tested recipe that employs pulled pork and ham, this rendition’s got everything you want in a Cubano — massive flavours, in-your-face salinity and a deft sliver of pickle acidity to help balance it out a little.
Some other very interesting creations are the slew of cheeseburger dogs, (all S$18) served with hotdogs specially crafted by Ye Olde Cow from a blend of dry-aged Australian black angus beef and wagyu fats.

These come in four different styles: Traditional, OG cheeseburger, cheesy cheeseburger and chilli cheeseburger.
A crowd favourite was the OG cheeseburger, which is topped with luscious caramelised onions, adding an abundance of richness and a splash of acidity to complement the hotdogs.

If you’re a fan of tangy sauerkraut, the Reggie (S$22) is also a solid option — this one is a riff off the Reuben, a classic American sandwich made with pastrami, swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Thousand Island sauce or Russian dressing.
Ye Old Cow switches out the pastrami for its tender housemade brisket, then tops it off with its secret burger sauce, while a layer of crunchy sauerkraut adds texture and zing.
Those not quite feeling beef — or are vegetarian — can also opt for the Cheesy McCheeseFace (S$18), an indulgent cheese toastie made with rye bread, gouda, cheddar and mozzarella.
It’s supremely cheesy and the rye bread crackles thunderously — very satisfying. Plus, the cheese pull will make sure your phone camera is fed well.

The next time you’re craving some beer and also feel like stuffing your face with some sinful sandwiches, you know where to go.
Oh, but Ye Old Cow is only popping up until the end of this month, so maybe head down fast!
