Heard about the viral warabimochi specialist Warabimochi Kamakura and its snaking queues when it first opened in One Holland Village?

Here’s exciting news for you: Warabimochi Kamakura is officially opening its first dine-in cafe in Waterway Point, Punggol, on October 26! This will be its fifth store in Singapore since it first launched in February.

According to an Instagram post on Tuesday, October 15, it is already open to the public and is in its soft-opening phase.

Well-known for its chewy and smooth warabimochi, the notable warabimochi specialist boasts over 50 shops in Japan and has opened four outlets so far in Singapore.

It’s always been a take-away concept in Singapore, though. At its new outlet at Waterway Point, diners can now enjoy their warabimochi comfortably, in its dine-in area.

Cafe-exclusive menu

If you’ve long been a fan of the brand, Warabimochi Kamakura Waterway Point has a cafe-exclusive menu up its sleeve, too: New warabimochi drinks and soft-serves.

Though its soft-serve flavours will rotate seasonally, a Japanese quintessential flavour will be the first one up for grabs at the cafe: Kuromitsu (Japanese black sugar syrup) soft-serve, dusted with kinako (roasted soybean) powder.

As for its crowd-favourite warabimochi drinks, the cafe is adding three new flavours to its menu.

There’s melon milk, which features sweet juicy melon enhanced with Hokkaido milk, and rich chocolate, with chocolate crushed in chocolate milk, topped with chocolate whipped cream and dried strawberry sprinkle.

Last, but not least, there’s chocolate banana that is rich and velvety with banana crushed in chocolate milk.

We understand that the cafe-exclusive menu won’t quite be ready at launch, though — it’ll likely be available from early November.

Warabimochi Kamakura Waterway Point’s opening deals

To mark the highly-anticipated opening of its first dine-in cafe, Warabimochi Kamakura Waterway Point is offering a one-for-one deal on its warabimochi drinks from October 26 to 27.
