Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024: 51 to 100 list announced with huge shakeups

Slightly over a month ago, we saw the best restaurants in the world given their laurels in this year’s edition of World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Now, it’s time for the bars of the world to receive their due recognition with Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024.

The Asia’s 50 Best Bars ceremony will be held on July 16, 8.25pm (SGT) at Rosewood Hong Kong, where the creme de la creme in the region will be announced.

Before that though, we have the list of 51 to 100 bars of Asia’s 50 Best 2024, which was just released yesterday. The extended 51 to 100 list first came about in 2021 and is typically released prior to the grand unveiling of the top 50

So, which bars in Asia, and specifically in Singapore, made the cut?

Eight Singapore bars on the 2024 Asia’s 50 best bars list

The 51-100 list of Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024 sees quite a few new entries in the list, with a total of fifteen bars Asia-wide — with one in Singapore — earning their maiden feature on the prestigious award’s rankings.

At the same time, it also introduces a number of notable shakeups, including Bangkok-based Tropic City rappelling from the peak at No. 6 in 2023 to a more humble, but still very respectable, No. 62 position.

Another one is Singapore’s very own Republic Bar — the Ritz-Carlton lobby bar found itself at No. 57 this year, after earning a No. 16 spot last year.

We have to wonder: Will we witness even bigger surprises (or upsets) during the final unveiling of Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024 on July 16?

That aside, the rankings — as always — see very healthy representation from Singapore’s bars, as a total of eight local bars make their way onto this extended selection. At a standing of eight bars, Singapore also leads the pack on this list. 

Here are the eight Singapore bars that made their mark in 2024, including rice and agave-centric hidden bar Cat Bite Club which makes its debut on this year’s list:
