October is here, and our calendar is packed with places with new menus! The F1 Singapore Grand Prix has just lit up Marina Bay, K-pop fans are counting down to BigBang’s concert at the National Stadium this weekend, and Halloween is just around the corner.
Whether you’re fuelling up for a special night or just need a new place to eat between plans, this month’s menus have you covered. Here are eight venues around Singapore serving up something different:
1. Na Oh’s autumn menu launch

It’s been two years since Korean restaurant Na Oh opened in Singapore, but the restaurant’s slots still get snapped up when it releases them a month ahead. We can see why, though. Not only does it partner with chef Corey Lee, the first Korean to earn three Michelin stars, it also offers an incredible value of S$88 for a four-course seasonal prix fixe menu.
There are a number of fixed courses, but guests get to choose their desired proteins for the jinjitsang, a traditional Korean meal setting served with accompaniments. Options for Na Oh’s current autumn lineup are spicy chicken jjim (or braise) with sweet pumpkin and dried acorn jelly, half-dried yellow croaker sotbap with eoran (roe), and charcoal-grilled pork bulgogi.

But what’s got us going back this time is the addition of Korean Hanwoo beef in the yukhwe with pear and pine nut (S$28), which is essentially a premium beef tartare. It features diced eye of round cut, pear, crunchy pine nut, and an egg yolk, served with Na Oh’s take on a crisp seaweed cracker. For someone who adores yukhwe but struggles to find like-minded pals to share an often-huge serving with, its 50g portion is a godsend, as are its delicate flavours.
2. One-Ninety Bar’s daytime Garden Cafe

Hotel terraces usually come alive after dark, but One-Ninety Bar, the Botanic Gardens-inspired al fresco terrace at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore, is giving you a new reason to head down in the day.
The space started out in 2021 as a cocktail-leaning concept, aligning with its indoor counterpart. But since mid-September, it has been serving a Garden Cafe menu of pastries and cafe fare — and it runs daily from 11am to 6pm. It encompasses everything from lighter morning bites to heartier brunch plates.
You should definitely try the locally inspired Singapore chilli crab omelette (S$32), fluffy and topped with a tomato-forward chilli crab sauce. If you’re a mac and cheese fan, you’ll also enjoy the maccheroni al formaggio (S$28), served in an edible mini kabocha pumpkin. End the meal with the citrus petite gateau (S$14), a white chocolate shell shaped like an orange, filled with mandarin and vanilla cream.
3. Jeju Haenyeo outdoor pub

Looking for a laidback evening spot with proper vibes? Experiential Korean dining concept Jeju Haenyeo has opened an outdoor traditional Korean pub in the courtyard of The Arts House, and you can drink and dine there even if you’re not doing the Jeju Haenyeo experience. (We tried it and we absolutely loved it, though!)
Located in the CBD, along Boat Quay, this new pub offshoot is best enjoyed under string lights as the sun sets. For the uninitiated, Jeju Haenyeo Singapore is the first overseas outpost of Haenyeo Kitchen, built around the stories of Jeju’s female free divers, known as “haenyeo”.
Its new outdoor concept takes inspiration from the “bulteok” — the stone hearth where divers would warm up with a meal after their dives. Its menu runs from 5pm to midnight, with 12 shareable bites and a long list of drinks to choose from.
Go for the spicy pork wraps (S$20), where tender gochujang-marinated pork is served with crunchy lettuce and some ssamjang (a savoury-spicy dipping paste). The corn cheese in sweet pumpkin (S$18) is just as moreish, with gooey cheese and sweet corn baked in a small pumpkin shell.
Pair your bites with the honey makgeolli (S$54), served in a brass kettle with honeycomb in the bowls, adding an extra layer of sweetness to the creamy rice wine.
4. Shabestan’s Sunday Silk Road Caravan brunch

Now, here’s a brunch with a bit of history: Persian restaurant Shabestan at Robertson Quay has been a go-to for charcoal-grilled kebabs since 2013. Its new Sunday-only Silk Road Caravan brunch shows off a wider spread of flavours that you could once get along the ancient Silk Road, a trading route that once carried spices, silk, and traditions between Asia and the Mediterranean.
Priced at S$38, it runs every Sunday from 11.30am to 3pm. For that price, you can get two dishes from a menu of over 20 options, as well as free-flow mezze, pita bread, saffron rice, and ice cream.
If you can’t decide, we’ll help — make the ghalieh mahi one of your dish choices. This tangy fish stew from southern Iran is simmered with coriander, garlic, and tamarind, and best spooned over the free-flow saffron rice. Meat lovers ought to try the halabi kebab, a juicy minced lamb skewer with a pronounced gaminess that lamb fans will undoubtedly enjoy.
End with the free-flow saffron ice cream — milky with a floral profile and a nutty finish from the pistachios.
5. Sushi Express x Zermatt’s protein-focused collab

Bored of the usual protein choices? Why not get your next protein fix off the sushi conveyor belt? Sushi Express has collaborated with local YouTuber Zermatt Neo, for a trio of new sushi plates featuring a mix of egg and seafood proteins. These are available at both Sushi Express and Sushi Plus outlets from now until November 23.
The Golden egg hanamaki (from S$3) is a salmon-wrapped piece topped with egg mayo and ikura, with the mayo kept light so the salmon takes the spotlight. The ebi tamago Boost (from S$2) tops a tamago with prawn, while the saba Power roll (from S$1.50) features mackerel glazed in a light sauce and wrapped into a roll. If you want all three in one go, get Zermatt’s protein feast bento (from S$8) at the group’s grab-and-go concept 争鲜gogo.
If you’re gunning for more, try its Big Eater challenge with a friend, happening on October 21 and 28, or November 4. The more plates you clear, the bigger the discount — finish 40 plates for a 20% discount or 200 plates for a fully free meal. The top three teams also win cash prizes of up to S$1,000. PS: You’ll need to sign up online ahead of the session!
6. McDonald’s Singapore x G-Dragon collab

Bang bang bang: McDonald’s Singapore is going big this October with BigBang’s G-Dragon, with a Korean-inspired menu and some limited-edition merchandise — which coincides squarely with the boyband’s concert in Singapore this weekend.
The headliner is the spicy bulgogi chicken burger (from S$9.95), which coats McSpicy’s chicken patty in a sweet bulgogi sauce and tops it with caramelised onions. If you’re a fan, get this because every spicy bulgogi chicken burger meal comes with one of three mystery photocards!
The returning Hershey’s soft serve (from S$1.70) makes a sweet finish, while the spicy chicken McNuggets (from S$8.30 for a meal) are also back on the menu.
Besides food, G-Dragon’s fashion label PeaceMinusOne has a collection of its own in this collaboration, too. There’s a tote bag (S$12.90) and a pin set (from S$5.90), both available with every meal purchase, while stocks last.
McDonald’s MyM members can also get a vintage hat (S$9.90) with a minimum S$10 spend on the McDonald’s app, available at ten selected outlets only.

New drinks include the lychee rose milk green tea (S$4.90) with floral notes sitting on a creamy green tea base, and the lychee rose smoothie with white pearl (S$4.90), an icier option with strawberry in its blend, topped with lychee bites and white pearls.

8. KFC Singapore’s Louisiana surf n’ turf

Ever had your fried chicken as a taco shell? KFC Singapore is rolling out a surf n’ turf menu inspired by the Cajun flavours of Louisiana, and it starts from October 21 to November 24, and some paw-some surprises, too!
The highlight is its Louisiana surf n’ turf Kentaco (from S$8.80), where KFC’s hot & crispy chicken comes as a “taco” loaded with ebi prawn, creamy slaw, and a new garlic seafood dip inspired by lobster bisque.
If you’re sharing, the Louisiana surf n’ turf platter meal (from S$10.80) is a good one to grab, with KFC’s hot & crispy chicken bites, fried shrimps in Louisiana seafood seasoning, mac n’ cheese, a Sjora, and a tub of garlic seafood dip.
From October 28, KFC is releasing a pet merchandise collection which includes: KFC bucket bed (S$45.90), breakfast Twister plushie (S$12.90), chicken headgear (S$12.90), and KFC pet collared bib (S$10.90).
