Australian froyo concept Yo-Chi opens new outlet at Star Vista in Singapore
It’s been less than a year since cult-favourite Aussie froyo brand Yo-Chi first landed in Singapore back in August 2025, but the hype clearly hasn’t slowed down.
Yo-Chi’s first Somerset outlet still sees consistently long queues daily, with fans flocking to the Orchard Central ground-floor space for self-serve froyo and decadent toppings. In particular, Yo-Chi’s Dubai chocolate-inspired topping seem to have really caught on with the crowd.
If you’ve yet to try Yo-Chi in Singapore or been deterred by its queues, we’ve got good news: The brand has just opened its second Singapore outlet at The Star Vista on May 23, giving everyone, and westies in particular, a chance to join in on the froyo craze — hopefully with slightly shorter queues, too.

While its debut Orchard Central outlet was relatively spacious, getting seats at there was still no easy feat.
Thankfully, Yo-Chi’s new space at The Star Vista is a little larger, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. So you won’t have jostle around while enjoying your froyo fix.
While the interior leans similar to its Somerset outlet, you’ll find more of a unique local touch at the Star Vista space: The store’s wall mural and Yo-Chi bear mascot were painted by Singaporean artist duo Ripple Root, the artists behind the iconic, highly Instagrammable murals along Keong Saik Road.
Spanning across the entire store, the vibrant artwork showcases scenes of people enjoying Yo-Chi against prominent local landmarks such as the Marina Bay Sands.

Froyo goodness with Yo-Chi Star Vista’s menu
Like its Somerset outlet, Yo-Chi’s offerings remain largely the same, with 10 froyo flavours to choose from.

Flavours include signature tart, mango, classic vanilla, acai, chocolate, matcha, strawberry cream, salted butterscotch, cookies and cream, and the previously-limited-edition ube flavour, which has now officially been added to the permanent lineup.
As always, if you can’t decide, feel free to ask the staff if you can try a sample — which will be doled out in its little tasting cups — before you commit to a flavour.
Once you’ve decided on your base flavour(s) of choice, grab a cup and mix as many flavours as you’d like before making your way to the toppings bar.

As with its Orchard Central outlet, Yo-Chi at Star Vista offers its full spread of toppings, making it almost impossible to hold back — naturally, we ended up adding a little bit of everything.
Here, you can expect everything from fresh fruits to sweet and crunchy toppings, along with a variety of sauces to finish it all off.

What caught our eye in particular, was the Special-Chi — Yo-Chi’s deconstructed Dubai chocolate topping that was previously only available at its Orchard Central for a limited time, and one that was wildly popular.
Being ardent Dubai chocolate fans, we knew we had to load up on this topping of milk chocolate buttons and nutty pistachio crumble, which had a good balance of both elements and wasn’t too sweet.

Our favourite part of the toppings bar is usually the final section where you load on the sauces and brownies and the one at Star Vista didn’t disappoint.
Here, you’ll find indulgent options such as the pistachio Papi, Biscoff spread, and chocolate fudge brownies to finish your froyo creation.
If you’re a Dubai chocolate fan like us, we’d suggest going all-in with the pistachio Papi sauce and topping it off with a chocolate fudge brownie (or a few) for the full experience — trust us, it’s a tried-and-tested combo that works. Every time.

Once you’re done building your froyo, just head over to the counter to have it weighed and settled up. Just like the Orchard Central outlet, prices start at S$3.50 per 100g.
Thereafter, you can opt to enjoy your froyo in-store, at its al fresco seating area, or even along Star Vista’s amphitheatre-style steps right outside Yo-Chi.
Take it home!
If you enjoyed your experience and entertained the thought of grabbing some home, Yo-Chi at Star Vista now offers its Greek-style frozen yoghurt in 500ml tubs for takeaway at S$9.50 each, available in original and mango flavours.
Takeaway tubs weren’t previously available at its Orchard Central outlet, so you’ll definitely want to load up on the tubs, especially if you’ve specially made the trek out to Buona Vista for some Yo-Chi.
Do note that the takeaway tubs also feature a slightly different recipe and taste from the in-store versions and have been specially tailored for enjoying at home.
If you’re looking for something a bit more permanent, how about grabbing some Yo-Chi merch, too?

While merch at its Somerset outlet was previously displayed behind the counter, its Star Vista outlet now has a merch corner where you can browse its items such as its colourful Go Bowls and keychains, and even its Bestie Testie card game, at your own pace.
If you see yourself being a regular at Yo-Chi (if you aren’t one already), picking up a Yo-Chi reusable bowl might be a good idea. Afterall, who doesn’t love a little Yo-Chi swag? Plus, did we mention that you’ll get to enjoy a 10% discount whenever you bring your bowl back for your froyo runs, too?

All things considered, if you’re planning to visit Yo-Chi at The Star Vista, we recommend dropping by during off-peak hours if you can, because even though this is a new outlet, the queues have already begun forming, slowly but surely.
But if you’re not too keen on the queues or find it a bit of a hassle to visit either of its current two outlets, we think its only a matter of time before Yo-Chi expands to other parts of Singapore given how popular it’s been, so you might want to hold out for a bit for one to open up near you.
This was a hosted tasting.
