Swiss Butchery opens new retail and dine-in flagship at Holland Village, boasts value-for-money steaks
If you’re in the mood to feast on hearty meat platters, local butcher brand Swiss Butchery has just unveiled its new flagship outlet at Holland Village.
Since its recent opening on Mar 27, the deli has been seeing a steady influx of customers and seats are usually filled up in the evening.
Named House of Swiss Butchery, it serves as a prime destination for those looking for quality meats and seafood at an affordable price. Expect to savour gourmet cuts, housemade hams, artisanal sausages, and more — depending on your preference (and budget).
But what makes this flagship different from its other stores? It is its hybrid retail and dine-in concept, which is unique to its Holland Village location.
Not only can you shop from a range of ready-to-eat items, but you can also pick your preferred cuts of meat — which the skilled butchers will prepare a la minute for a fee of just S$12 — and enjoy them in-store at Swiss Butchery’s dining area.
A flagship-exclusive retail and dine-in concept
House of Swiss Butchery intends to be a one-stop shop for meat lovers, so customers can look forward to an extensive selection of meats — specifically more premium cuts.
For starters, there is the gorgeously marbled wagyu ribeye MB4/5 (S$17.31 for 100g), as well as the well-loved grain-fed beef ribeye (S$9 for 100g) and beef striploin (S$7.72 for 100g) — all three of which are wonderful options for the barbecue and grill.
Hams include the likes of smoked black forest ham (S$4 for 100g), chicken ham (S$3 for 100g) and picnic ham (S$2.90 for 100g). You can have them sliced in varying thicknesses depending on your needs — shaved (for charcuterie boards), thin, sandwich, or thick (best as salad toppings or mixed with pasta).
If you’re unsure about the different cuts and flavour profiles of meat on display, don’t hesitate to check in with the knowledgeable staff on duty.
The outlet will also soon introduce a dry-ageing meat service, where meat connoisseurs can opt to have their proteins dry-aged in-store. Note that this service is still in the works and will be launched on Apr 9.
One-for-one opening promotion in April
Throughout the month of April, enjoy a one-for-one deal off your meals to commemorate the launch!
Guests have a choice of its grilled sirloin (U.P. S$27) or ribeye steak (U.P. S$22), as well as a choice of one side dish — either mussels or clams (U.P. S$21). We’d go for the former, as they’re juicer with a more robust flavour.
You can also choose to have the crustaceans cooked in either a Thai coconut cream sauce, or steeped in a white wine and butter gravy topped with chilli flakes.
And for a little extra oomph to your meal, feel free to order a pint or two of ice-cold beer on tap (from S$6 for half a pint and S$10 for a pint). There are also wines (from S$10 for a glass and S$40 for a bottle), should you prefer adding a touch of refinement to your meal.
Instead of taking out, we recommend that you dine in to savour the meat at its utmost freshness. So put House of Swiss Butchery on your list of vibey, wallet-friendly steakhouses in Singapore and round up your friends to enjoy a quality tipple over a hearty meal!
