If you’re like us, you probably find it entertaining when restaurants come up with unique promotions — they just keep getting more and more interesting.

We’ve had discounts based on height difference and age difference. Now, there’s a promo giving you a discount based on how low you can bend.

Here’s the deal: Omma Korean Charcoal BBQ is giving customers up to 50% off their entire bill depending on their performance in a game of limbo.

What exactly does that mean? Well, limbo is a popular party game where players must bend backwards and attempt to pass under a “limbo bar” that’s suspended off the ground.

So the discount you get depends on how far backwards you can bend while successfully passing under the limbo stick.

This unique promo will be available only at the Omma Korean Charcoal BBQ’s Cheong Chin Nam Road outlet and will run from Apr 1 to Apr 30.

Here’s what you can get based on your flexibility, starting from a height of 153cm with the height getting progressively lower:

  • Level 1: Free steamed egg
  • Level 2: 10% off
  • Level 3: 20% off
  • Level 4: 30% off
  • Level 5: 50% off

Furthermore, those who participate will get 10% off their next visit as long as they hit a minimum spend of S$80.

So if you’re flexible enough, it’s a great chance for you to put that flexibility to good use.

Do note that guests have to be above 13 years old and at least 1.2m tall to participate and the total discount is capped at S$80 off the total bill.

Wood-fired Korean BBQ

For those unfamiliar with the brand, Omma prides itself as Singapore’s first wood-fired Korean charcoal BBQ.

Instead of conventional charcoal, the restaurant serves up its grills using a smokeless charcoal, which complements the guests’ choice of five varieties of wood: Applewood, cherry, pecan, hickory, and mesquite

Besides the unique grilling method, Omma Korean Charcoal BBQ’s menu includes a wide variety of meats ranging from iberico pork to premium beef.

That includes decadent black pork belly (S$28 for 180g), Korean-style beef tartare (S$43 for180g) and even the super luxurious Japan A4 grade beef ribeye (S$81/180g).

Diners can also get sets to share. Those in groups of two or three can get the pork Omma set (S$66) with 180g iberico pork collar, 180g black pork belly and 180g iberico pork jowl, while the beef BBQ set (S$136) is perfect for three to four, comprising beef tartare, ribeye, marinated short rib, prime beef, and 2mm sliced beef brisket.

If that’s tempting to you, head down to Omma Charcoal Korean BBQ and, if you’re flexible enough, you might end up with a feast only costing you half its usual price!
