Up to 40% off: Meow Barbecue brings back its viral height-difference discount
Remember the unique promo that went viral last year, where diners at Meow Barbecue were given discounts based on how tall they were?
Yeah, the one that was all over social media. There was even one couple who received a 40% discount because of their height disparity!
If you missed out on it, you have another chance to join in the fun: Meow Barbecue is bringing back its height-difference discount once again!
This time, it runs from Mar 1 to Apr 30.
How it works
Just measure the difference in height between the tallest and shortest person in your dining party to get the best discount.
It’s split into four ranges:
- 10% off: Less than 10cm
- 20% off: 10cm to 29cm
- 30% off: 30cm to 49cm
- 40% off: 50cm and above
Maybe it’s time to show some appreciation to our short kings and queens by inviting them out for a barbecue feast!
But even if you’re just looking to bring the squad out for a meal, it’s easy to snag a 20% discount — all you need is just a 10cm difference.
Do note that the height difference only applies to adults — 21 years old and above — just in case you were planning to bring your toddlers along.
Award-winning barbecue chain
For those of us who are just finding out about the brand, Meow Barbecue is an award-winning barbecue chain hailing from China and can be found in major cities such as Beijing and Shanghai.
Its Singapore outlet, located at Bugis+, is the brand’s first overseas outpost.
It’s known for its whimsical cat theme, which is incorporated into its decor and at times, food offerings. For example, it rolled out a unique cat food-themed platter late last year.
Besides that, it also offers an extensive menu of beef, pork, chicken, and seafood, each prepared in different styles and marinades.
Some interesting cuts includes Meow Barbecue’s signature spicy beef (S$23.80) that’s spicy and spruced up with a pickled chilli twang, as well as the iberico pork collar marinated in pineapple sauce (S$22.80), where the pork richness is cut through with pineapple acidity.
