Sky22 brings comfort to the table with a refreshed modern Asian menu and new dining promos
Tucked on the 22nd floor of Courtyard by Marriott Singapore Novena, Sky22 is the kind of restaurant that’s easy to overlook if you’re not already in the know — and that’s precisely what makes it worth knowing about.
With a refreshed line-up now in play, the restaurant doubles down on what it does best: Modern Asian cooking that feels rooted and familiar, without being predictable.
Think local flavours given a considered second look and regional references woven into dishes that are as comfortable as they are clever.

And at prices that hover comfortably in the mid-20s? We’re here for it.
A fun spin on familiar favourites
Sky22 relaunched in January 2025 with an elevated, yet accessible take on modern Asian cuisine, quickly carving out a reputation as a reliable neighbourhood spot for both families and working professionals in the Novena precinct.
Its latest a la carte refresh builds on that foundation — drawing from local and regional perspectives to present dishes that feel simultaneously nostalgic and new.

In conjunction with this refresh, the restaurant is also running a handful of recurring dining promotions: There’s a semi-buffet lunch that runs from Mon to Sat, 12pm to 2.30pm (from S$29.50 per person), a semi-buffet dinner from Fri to Sun, 6.30pm to 10pm (from S$38 per person), and a Sunday seafood buffet at S$68 per adult.
If you’re on a savings streak, there’s also a weeknight a la carte promotion from Mon to Thu, 6.30pm to 10pm, where you can enjoy 50% off every second main — a value-for-money incentive to return for sure.

Highlights of Sky22’s latest menu

If it’s your first time dining at Sky22, we recommend starting with something warm. The chicken consomme morel (S$15) is the kind of opener that sets the tone without stealing the show — a clear, quietly herbaceous broth threaded with cordyceps flower, shiitake mushrooms, snow fungus and goji berries.
It’s restorative in the best way; the sort of thing you reach for after a long day when you want something that soothes the weary soul.

From there, the watercress beef salad (S$18) makes a case for itself as one of the more underestimated dishes on the menu. Don’t let the word “salad” lull you into expecting something light and virtuous; this one leads with punchy umami, the laksa leaves cutting through with a real aromatic presence alongside sesame-soy vinaigrette and crispy garlic.
It’s a genuinely flavourful low-carb option that doesn’t compromise on character, and for $18, it’s an easy yes.

For mains, the bak kut teh pao fan (S$28) is the one to order on a grey, drizzly afternoon — and Singapore has plenty of those. The peppery pork belly broth is deeply comforting yet surprisingly light on the stomach, and the pork belly itself is tender enough to pull apart with ease.
As with any pao fan worth its salt, pace yourself: The puffed rice is best enjoyed promptly before it loses its crispness to the broth. Homey, hearty, and excellent.

The turmeric & ginger kampung chicken (S$28) is a complete meal unto itself — succulent fried chicken alongside two pork satay skewers, served with nasi ulam fried rice, long beans, laksa verde, and crispy whitebait.
It’s generous and well-executed, though those familiar with traditional nasi ulam (a fragrant Malay rice dish mixed with various finely chopped herbs and aromatics) may notice that the herbal notes here are more restrained, and the herbs are more finely diced than the chunkier, less textural presentation you’d find in a traditional rendition.
Whether that’s a deliberate nod towards broader palatability or simply a stylistic choice, it’s worth flagging for purists — though the dish as a whole remains a satisfying plate.

On Sky22’s desserts front, the gula Melaka semifreddo (S$14) is the gentler of the two options — mascarpone-based with a clean vanilla note, fragrant rose jelly that doesn’t overpower, and a coconut crumble for texture.
The one caveat: If you’re ordering it for the gula Melaka, temper your expectations slightly; the palm sugar flavour is present but subtle, playing more of a supporting role than a lead.
That said, as a mild, well-composed sweet finish, it does its job.

The chocolate nama (S$14), on the other hand, makes no such quiet entrance. Intense, velvety dark chocolate mousse with a whisper of brandy is served with orange chantilly and caramelised pecans.
This one is unapologetically rich, and arguably best shared, despite its modest portion size. It may well be divisive (simply for its rich, thick consistency), but for anyone with a serious sweet tooth and a love of dark chocolate, it’ll definitely hit the spot.
A solid case for a trip to Novena
Sky22 has always had the right instincts — approachable without being unremarkable, familiar without being repetitive.
This latest menu refresh only sharpens that identity, bringing a selection of modern Asian plates that are as considered as they are comforting, at prices that make returning an easy decision.
Couple that with a suite of newly launched dining promos spanning lunch through dinner, and there’s really no shortage of reasons to make the trip to Novena.
