Pizza Hut’s all-you-can-eat buffet is back from now till September 27 at six selected outlets across Singapore.

The 90-minute all-you-can-eat (AYCE) buffet is available every Thursday to Sunday, from 11am to 10pm, with the last seating at 8.30pm.

Enjoy the buffet at these Pizza Hut Singapore’s dine-in venues Compass One, Tiong Bahru Plaza, and Bukit Panjang Plaza, and eat-in ones at Heartbeat@Bedok, Wisteria Mall, and Buangkok Square Mall.

What’s the difference you might ask?

While both offer the same spread of six pizza flavours, ice cream and free-flow soft drinks, there are a few differences to the other items.

Dine-in outlets serve sauteed pastas and a wider selection of sides, while eat-in outlets offer baked pastas instead.

Prices for the AYCE buffet also vary depending on the day and outlet concept.

At dine-in outlets, adults pay S$19.95 on weekdays and S$22.95 on weekends, before service charge and GST. Meanwhile, eat-in outlets charge S$21.75 nett on weekdays and S$25 nett on weekends.

Determined to make the most of this promo, we took our pizza-loving selves to Pizza Hut at Compass One to try the dine-in spread and see just how much we could stuff ourselves with in 90 minutes.

All-you-can-eat deal

Unlike a regular AYCE buffet, there’s no buffet line here.

Instead, Pizza Hut’s staff will come around to your table with the different dishes throughout the meal. As each item makes its rounds, you can indicate to the staff that you’d like some, or wait out till something you fancy comes out. The items do come out relatively quickly, too!

Some might baulk at the idea of not being able to help yourself to pizza slices, but we think that this just means you get the pizzas and dishes piping hot once they’re ready. Plus, it’s a lot more hygienic!

Everything comes in manageable portions, too — pizzas are served by the slice, while pastas come in mini bowls, making it easier to sample your way through the spread without filling up too quickly.

For pizzas, you can expect these six flavours making their way around the outlet: Hawaiian Pan, beef pepperoni pan, chicken supreme pan, cheesy spinach sourdough, ham N shroom sourdough, and otah laksa sourdough.

Our favourites were the otah laksa sourdough and cheesy spinach sourdough

The former packed a savoury, mildly spicy kick, with aromatic laksa flavours pairing nicely with the otah, while the cheesy spinach was creamy and comforting, without feeling too heavy.

The beef pepperoni pan and ham N shroom sourdough were just as enjoyable, especially if you prefer something meatier. The beef pepperoni was cheesy, meaty and comforting — a classic that’s hard to go wrong with — while the ham N shroom offered a familiar, savoury combination.

For pastas, we had the choice of two options at Compass One: the mushroom aglio olio and chicken pomodoro

Both also came in small portions, so you can easily have a taste of each without filling up too quickly. Also with such manageable portions, you’ll find yourself game to try just about everything, which is entirely the point of an AYCE buffet!

Sides-wise, we got to enjoy a spread of crispy chicken fries, cheesy nuggets and french fries, alongside the soup of the day, which was cream of mushroom soup when we visited — this ended up also being one of our firm favourites.

It was creamy and comforting, with a rich mushroom flavour that made it especially easy to polish off.

We’d gladly have gone for another bowl, though with 90 minutes to work through the rest of the spread, we preferred to save some stomach space for the pizzas.

The crispy chicken fries were delightfully crunchy, offering a nice change of texture and flavours from the softer and heartier pizza and pasta choices.

To wash all of that food down, there are just three soft drinks you can choose from: Coke, Coke Zero, and Sprite to choose from — which isn’t a lot, but it’s adequate.

And just when you think that was all to the spread, you’re wrong. Because there’s desserts, too, in the form of ice cream. We got a choice of two flavours — chocolate and vanilla — which made for a simple, sweet finish to the 90-minute feast.

Would we come back for Pizza Hut’s all-you-can-eat buffet? Definitely.

For the price and variety, it makes for a pretty value-for-money meal, with plenty of picks to keep everyone satisfied.

It’s especially great if you’re coming with a big group because everyone gets to try a little bit of everything and everyone leaves happy. Just make sure you come really hungry and ready to make the most of those 90 minutes.

This was a hosted tasting.
