If you loved the brews from homegrown coffee brand Miracle Coffee, founded by local singer JJ Lin, you’ll have plenty more opportunities to enjoy it from its permanent spot at the lobby of the ArtScience Museum.

Miracle Coffee in Singapore started as a drinks-only pop-up at Marina Bay Sands’ Rain Oculus space outside the museum. The Miracle Coffee concept was first established by JJ Lin in Taiwan in 2017.

After a year in Singapore, the pop-up is not only moving to a more permanent spot indoors, but is also introducing an all-new food menu.

It also has a sharing platform known as The Miracle Lab, which encourages coffee enthusiasts to connect over coffee-related conversations and events. You can expect panel discussions with prominent local coffee roasters like Equate Coffee, Glyph Supply Co and Homeground Coffee Roasters.

These three coffee roasters have also come together to create a special coffee flight, known as Miracle 4 (S$20), comprising four brews, including one from Miracle Coffee.

In line with the holiday spirit of giving back, proceeds from the sales of this limited-time flight until Dec 10 will go to Metta Welfare Association.

Miracle Coffee’s menu

Miracle Coffee is best known for its pour-over coffee (S$10), made with its own roasted, single-origin beans.

Those who want a little something more can give its Singapore-exclusive kaya Cloud coffee (S$11) a go — it’s an Americano-style coffee topped with kaya-flavoured cream and shaved gula melaka.

The cafe also created two new drinks for the opening — Miracle Dream (S$11) and Miracle tiramisu (S$11). Miracle Dream combines an espresso shot with lemon juice and butterfly pea flowers, while the Miracle tiramisu is a beverage twist on the popular dessert, complete with a ladyfinger.

Beyond its drinks, Miracle Coffee’s food menu is a mix of dreamy, decadent desserts inspired by flavours from Lin’s childhood, as well as some local favourites such as laksa prawn sandwiches (S$13).

The desserts that caught our eye were its rainbow roti (S$11), a pineapple-vanilla sponge cake filled with strawberry and pandan mousse and the rainbow Cloud (S$9), a calamansi cloud-shaped cake with a soursop and avocado centre.

With the rain clouds a regular occurrence as the year closes, the new indoor Miracle Coffee cafe makes for a great chillout spot, especially if you’re planning a day out at Marina Bay Sands or at the ArtScience Museum.

Who knows? You might even catch the bossman JJ Lin himself while sipping your brews.
