McDonald’s Singapore drops new tom yum burgers, fish nuggets and more

Abigail Buligan | November 3, 2025

There’s always something new coming out of the kitchens at McDonald’s. (Did you get to try the recent samurai shoyu mayo burger?)

From November 6, the fast-food chain is turning up the heat with an all-new tom yum burger (from S$8.95) that features a bold and tangy sauce that’s new, too — a tom yum mayo sauce

The new burger sees a crispy prawn patty layered in that creamy, zesty sauce, tomatoes and a mix of shredded purple cabbage and onions, sandwiched in between sesame-laden soft buns.

And if prawn is not quite your thing, you can instead opt for a version with a spicy chicken thigh patty, instead.

There’s also another new item on the menu — fish nuggets — though this has been around since October 30.

The nuggets are made with Alaskan pollock, the same fish used in its signature Filet-O-Fish burgers, and can be enjoyed as part of a six-piece Extra Value Meal (from S$8.70).

We’re excited to see if the new tom yum mayo sauce, which will be available together with the set meals from November 6, adds a new dimension to these fishy bites.

If you’re looking for more even sauce, more tubs can be purchased at 50 cents.

Sweet treats

There’s yet another Thai classic making a splash on McDonald’s newest menu — a Thai milk tea frappe (from S$5.90) that is a sweet treat to end your meal with!

It’s a fun spin on the classic drink we all know and love, tailored to beat the sweltering heat.

Speaking of sweets, you might have already seen McDonald’s latest caffeine-infused treat, the McCafe affogato (S$3), since October 23.

It pairs creamy and smooth soft-serve along with bold espresso that’s great for a midday pick-me-up.

Also making an appearance is a fun McFlurry duo, too: The Kitkat Milo McFlurry (from S$3.80)!

Perfect for those of us with a sweet-tooth, it features crunchy Kitkat crumble and malty Milo bits that’s sure to win the hearts of chocolate-lovers islandwide.

More in store

If you’re a millennial or older, and remember the Ronald McDonald statues of old, here’s your chance to get a blast from the past.

A travelling Ronald McDonald statue from Thailand will be making stops at selected restaurants from November 8 to 16. What’s special about this particular statue is that it has its palms pressed together in a traditional wai greeting.

Be one of the first 25 entries per location to snap a wefie with him, post it on Instagram and tag @McdSG, and you might win five tom yum chicken burger meals, for free!

The menu items are available for a limited time only, while stocks last, from 11am at all restaurants islandwide, Drive-Thrus, and major delivery platforms. Do note that the McCafe affogato is available at participating restaurants and Drive-Thrus only.
