Just when you thought you hadn’t had enough to feast for this festive season, here’s an exciting announcement: An all-new McDonald’s sweet ‘n sour burger will be in-stores soon!

To welcome the new year, the Golden Arches will be rolling out a new, limited-time burger, together with another new beverage and a returning favourite.

They are set to be released on Dec 28, right before New Year’s Day.

Inspired by a familiar local dish, the new burgers from McDonald’s are made to be delightfully tangy with a sweet and sour sauce, complemented with pineapple, crispy shallots and more.

There will be two renditions of the new burger: Sweet ‘n sour chicken (from S$7 a la carte) and sweet ‘n sour fish (from S$7.70 a la carte).

The latter will feature crispy fish patties, alongside the aforementioned toppings, while the former has crunchy chicken patties, as well as a softer glazed bun.

Besides the sweet ‘n sour burger, McDonald’s will also be re-introducing another twist on another local classic: The Ha! chicken drumlets (from S$3.40)!

These popular bites are coated in prawn paste to give it the extra oomph reminiscent of the beloved har cheong gai.

To cut through all these heavy items, McDonald’s has also added another new pineapple coconut frappe (from S$4.70), chock-full of tropical zest.
