McDonald’s Singapore continues its streak of limited-time launches, following March’s line-up featuring the popular Grimace shake and a freshly launched deluxe creamy mushroom burger.

Come April 23, the spotlight turns to an all-new honey mustard McCrispy burger (from S$9.50), which will be available at all McDonald’s outlets, during non-breakfast hours.

Our take

This brand-new honey mustard version brings together a crispy chicken thigh patty layered with chicken bacon, lettuce, and a creamy honey mustard sauce, all sandwiched between two soft potato buns, in place of the typical sesame seed-studded ones.

While the honey mustard sauce is intended to bring a brighter, tangy lift, it doesn’t quite deliver the intensity I was hoping for — though this ultimately comes down to personal preference.

Still, it’s a reliable pairing, complementing the juicy protein and fluffy potato buns.

For those with a bigger appetite, the burger is also available in a double patty form (from S$11.55 for an Extra Value meal).

If a burger isn’t quite on the cards, the all-new honey mustard chicken McWrap (from S$9.50 for an Extra Value meal) is a lighter alternative. It layers the same elements — chicken bacon, chicken patty, and honey mustard sauce — neatly wrapped in a soft tortilla.

To go with it, the fast-food chain is bringing back the sour cream & onion seasoning McShaker fries (S$1.25 extra for a meal upgrade) — a familiar, tried-and-tested union that’s hard to go wrong with, especially for those with a soft spot for sour cream and onion chips.

Sweet treats

And as with every McDonald’s Singapore’s launch, the range of specials closes on a sweet note.

This round features an all-new white chocolate macadamia latte (from S$3.50, or S$2 extra for a meal upgrade), a sweet mango nata de coco pie (from S$1.80) stuffed with QQ coconut jelly, as well as the comeback of the Yubari melon soft-serve (from S$1.30) — as usual, you can enjoy this in McDonald’s usual cone formats, a sundae with hot chocolate fudge or strawberry sauce, or a McFlurry with Oreo bits.

All of these items will be available at McDonald’s from April 23 onwards, while stocks last.

This was a media drop.
