Koffee Kollective: Takeaway cafe-style matcha and coffee spot in Bedok
In an economy where an iced latte can easily set you back S$6 to S$7, finding cafe-style beverages at wallet-friendly prices feels like a rare treat.
Fortunately, we’ve discovered just the spot for coffee lovers looking to indulge without breaking the bank.

Meet Koffee Kollective, a charming takeaway kiosk located just a stone’s throw away from The Marketplace @ 58, along New Upper Changi Road.
Despite its modest space, Koffee Kollective serves up a broad selection of drinks, spanning espresso-based staples, matcha lattes, local Nanyang-style kopi, and unique specials.
Prices range from a reasonable S$2.40 to S$7, with one premium drink hitting the S$8.90 mark.
Honestly, it’s quite a steal compared to many cafes out there — we can understand why Koffee Kollective draws a steady stream of customers and neighbourhood folks throughout the day.

Be prepared, though — the extensive menu can make decision-making a bit of a challenge (we’ve been there). Every drink is also freshly prepared upon order, which naturally means a bit of a wait, too.
When we visited on a weekday afternoon, near closing time, it took about 10 to 15 minutes for our drinks to be ready. It’s also worth noting that wait times tend to be longer during weekends and peak hours.
Trying out the drinks at Koffee Kollective

First on our list was the ever-trending iced strawberry matcha (S$6.70), crafted using Niko Neko’s Yuri matcha powder.
This vibrant concoction delivers a smooth profile, without tipping into overpowering bitterness. It’s perfect for those who are new to matcha or wary of its intensity.
The addition of strawberry jam brings a refreshing tartness that nicely complements the matcha’s earthy notes.
Don’t forget to give it a good stir to thoroughly enjoy the harmony of flavours!

We were particularly eager to try the banana pudding matcha (S$8.90), too — one of Koffee Kollective’s more indulgent offerings.
Unfortunately, it didn’t quite hit the mark for us. The banana pudding leaned more towards a sponge cake-like texture, and lacked the rich, creamy consistency we had hoped for.
Overall, it tasted more milky and sweet, especially when compared to its strawberry matcha counterpart. For us, this meant that the gentle notes of umami that we usually look for in a well-balanced matcha were a little lacking.

If you find an iced latte a little plain, the iced honey oat latte (S$4.90) is a pleasant upgrade.
Lightly sweetened with honey and made with oat milk, it’s a refreshing, dairy-free pick-me-up — especially satisfying on a sweltering day.

Koffee Kollective offers a line-up of specials with a creative twist, too, including the iced Reese’s latte (S$6.50) and iced Milo espresso latte (S$5.50).
While both sounds promising, the flavours came across as somewhat muted and didn’t quite harmonise with the espresso base.
Nonetheless, these are interesting picks for the more adventurous coffee-drinkers seeking something a little different.
