If you’ve always wondered what a bakkwa rice dumpling tastes like, you’ll have your answer with the gourmet bakkwa rice dumpling (S$8), which features Bee Cheng Hiang’s gourmet bakkwa, paired with shiitake mushrooms and creamy chestnuts.
That’s not all — there’s also a delightful array of vegetarian variations, such as the sweet potato with black glutinous rice dumpling (S$7) and the red dates walnut rice dumpling (S$6.80), both of which make for great tea-time snacks.

This Dragon Boat Festival season, Thye Moh Chan continues to stay true to its roots and serves up meticulously handcrafted rice dumplings at pocket-friendly prices.
You can expect returning crowd-favourites such as the Teochew double delight bak chang (S$7.50) with tender pork belly, shiitake mushrooms, and homemade sweet mung bean paste, as well as the Teochew salted egg bak chang (S$7.50) with a whole salted egg yolk at the core of the rice dumpling.

If you find rice dumpling varieties in Singapore basic, good news, Peony Jade is spicing up its game this year with two special all-new creations, alongside its classic flavours. In a nod to the recent Singapore drama series Emerald Hill, Peony Jade is introducing two Peranakan-inspired dumplings to its line-up.
There’s the Emerald nyonya ayam buah keluak chang (S$16.80) with boneless chicken and aromatic rempah spices, as well as the Emerald nyonya rempah udang kueh chang (S$15.80) that brings together glutinous rice infused with hae bee hiam, spiced coconut and prawn filling.

This year, celebrity chef Jereme Leung unveils three new rice dumpling flavours at Raffles Hotel Singapore, each inspired by the vibrant spices of Southeast Asia. With his masterful blend of tradition and innovation, these creations bring familiar favourites into a fresh and exciting light.
For those who love Hokkien-style dumplings, the braised pork belly and yam glutinous rice dumpling (S$22) with braised Fujian-style pork belly is definitely up your alley.
The steamed abalone and eight-treasure glutinous rice dumpling with salted egg yolk (S$49) is chef Jereme’s rendition on the classic eight-treasure rice wrapped in fragrant bamboo leaves, while the lemongrass kee zhang rice dumpling with Raffles signature kaya (S$28 for five pieces) pays homage to the restaurant’s Nanyang heritage, while introducing bright notes of fresh lemongrass to the traditional alkaline rice dumpling.

Paradise Group introduces two new Hong Kong-style rice dumplings inspired by classic Chinese dishes this Dragon Boat Festival season.
First up is its roasted Iberico pork with X.O. sauce rice dumpling, an irresistible combination of slow-roasted Iberico pork belly, premium dried shrimps, conpoy, and umami XO sauce, followed by the braised pork with conpoy and mushroom rice dumpling, an elevated take on the well-loved pork with conpoy and chestnut rice dumpling.
For a one-of-a-kind sweet treat, Paradise Group’s osmanthus gula melaka red bean paste lye water rice dumpling (S$7.80) delicately balances the sweetness with subtle floral notes.
All dumplings can be purchased as part of Paradise Group’s rice dumpling gift set (SS$72.80, comes with two savoury and a sweet rice dumpling). The packaging is decked out in royal blue-and-gold, complete with interlaced threads and a charm with a butterfly emblem — presentable and makes for a worthy tablepiece, too.

Goodwood Park Hotel is back with its handcrafted rice dumplings, featuring two exciting new creations, alongside a cherished classic making its return.
There are the brand-new dried oyster and pork rice dumpling (S$32 for a set of two pieces) and Cantonese-style rice dumpling (S$22 for a set of two pieces) — a nod to Min Jiang’s rich Cantonese and Sichuan culture — paired with succulent pork belly, mushrooms, salted egg yolk, dried shrimp and chestnuts.
If you’re crazy over durian, you have to get your hands on the returning crowd-favourite mini kee zhang with D24 durian dip (from S$11 for a set of three pieces).

This Dragon Boat Festival, modern Cantonese restaurant Jia He churns out a wide selection of rice dumpling flavours that is sure to cater to all ages.
Its signature XO roasted meat dumpling (S$35.75) is a robust combination of premium ingredients, such as Chinese sausage, preserved meats, baby abalone, roasted pork, and roasted duck. While the classic traditional roast meat dumpling (S$24.85) is a hearty medley of accompaniments, such as roasted pork, roasted duck and salted egg yolk. Sounds like a hearty feast, doesn’t it?
Those who prefer their dumplings a bit more classic can opt for its alkaline rice dumpling with red bean paste (S$6.32), butterfly blue pea flower nyonya minced meat dumpling (S$9.70), and Hokkien salted egg yolk dumpling (S$10.68).

Recently awarded the one-diamond award in the Black Pearl Restaurant Guide 2025, Peach Blossoms at Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay, helmed by chef Edward Chong, serves up a flavourful assortment of rice dumplings made with premium ingredients.
Besides its returning crowd favourites, such as its signature premium XO Cantonese rice dumpling (800g for S$68.80, serves four) which comes with abalone, Hong Kong dried oyster, smoked duck, Kurobuta pork belly, it is also launching the traditional abalone, preserved vegetables and pork belly rice dumpling (500g for S$38.80) for the first time.
The latter features a harmonious medley of ingredients, such as abalone, slow-braised Kurobuta pork belly, shiitake mushroom, chestnut and homemade preserved vegetables.
