Sushi Tei launches Mofusand collaboration, with themed restaurant interiors, menu, and merch

Sarah Chua | October 31, 2025

It seems like Singapore has yet to get enough of the adorable Japanese feline characters Mofusand.

Right after a viral collaboration with Starbucks that saw items flying off the shelves, both online and physically, a well-loved Japanese restaurant chain has joined the meow-madness.

Come November 5, the Sushi Tei x Mofusand collaboration will arrive at the restaurant chain’s Raffles City Singapore outlet. You can expect Mofusand-themed dishes, tableware, and the chance to redeem Mofusand merchandise, too!

The limited-time collaboration will make its way to the other Sushi Tei outlets islandwide on November 12, before concluding on January 5, 2026.

Seemingly timed to coincide with the start of the year-end school holidays, the Sushi Tei x Mofusand collaboration also comes with an accompanying menu, with items that the little ones will love.

For starters, there’s a golden duo fry plate (S$13.80) with deep-fried prawn and Japanese whiting, or the option to have this with pasta, too, in the double fry curry pasta (S$16.80). The latter is a tad spicy, so it may be better suited for the older ones.

The decadent cheesy corn tori yaki (S$11.80), where grilled chicken is topped with corn and mozzarella cheese, Neko ebi roll (deep-fried prawn sushi roll topped with crabmeat and yuzu mayo, S$14.80), and comforting kaisen yasai nabe (assorted seafood hotpot, S$23.80) are also great dishes for the table.

It being a cat-themed collaboration with a sushi restaurant, it’s only natural that fish features heavily on this special menu. Other items include a kinmedai sashimi (golden-eye snapper, S$18.80), which can also be enjoyed in sushi-form (S$8.80) or with other assorted sashimi varieties in a moriwase platter (S$26.80).

Those gunning for variety will do well to opt for the Mount temari (S$10.80), a set of temari handballs topped with salmon, prawn, tuna, and squid, or the Deluxe barachirashi don (S$20.80), an indulgent bowl of premium sashimi and rice.

We also couldn’t get enough of the Tochigi wagyu steak (S$38.80), a wagyu A4 striploin cut, served with a special sauce and garlic chips. It can also be enjoyed in rice-bowl form at S$32.80.

How to get the Sushi Tei x Mofusand merch

While the dishes aren’t specifically Mofusand-themed, save for a little dish-topper with a Mofusand graphic, you can order the collaboration drinks (priced at S$6.80) if you’re looking for souvenirs to bring home, all of which come with an exclusive Mofusand coaster.

f you order from the limited-time menu, you can also redeem items such as an acrylic Mofusand keychain exclusively at Raffles City, from November 5, should you hit the minimum spend of S$60.

At all other outlets, starting November 12, you can redeem a Mofusand pouch with an eco-foldable bag, with a minimum spend of S$120.

The pouches come in four different designs, two of which are embroidered and Mofusand sushi-themed, while the other two are plush pouches from the Shark Meow series — different designs will be released every two weeks.

Only one redemption is allowed per table, per bill, with no bill-splitting allowed, so you’ll probably need to dine multiple times to collect everything!

But if you’re a die-hard fan with time to spare, here’s a tip: New batches of the items will be released every Wednesday during the promotion period, with each outlet receiving about 75 to 150 pieces.

So do the math, plan well, and go dine at Sushi Tei’s 14 outlets islandwide on Wednesdays for your best possible shot at getting the design of your choice.

This was a hosted tasting.
