Sip Sip: This CBD cafe is now open on Saturdays with a new daily brunch menu

LeAnn Lee | June 25, 2026

The CBD may not be the first place that comes to mind for a weekend hangout — many of us spend most of the work week there already, as it is — but here’s a reason to pop in for a leisurely brunch.

Located right beside OCBC Centre, even the busy lunch crowd drifting by can’t mask Sip Sip’s bright orange storefront. This laidback cafe has been around since October 2025, and has been plying CBD office-goers with speciality coffees during the day, and the after-work crowd with tapas and cocktails at night.

Steered by chef Darrel Woon — who has over 18 years of experience specialising in French, Italian, and Japanese cuisines — Sip Sip is now open on Saturdays, and with a brand-new brunch menu, to boot.

Low warm lighting, a cosy layout and jazzy music transports you from the middle of Singapore’s financial district, to a tranquil haven where everything seems like it’s moving at a slower pace.

There are two types of seating options — bar counters if you’re looking for a quick bite or two, or four-seater tables if you’re planning on lingering a little longer.

Overall, Sip Sip exudes a laidback charm, making it a great escape from the daily rush — whether you’re gathering with friends or looking for some much needed “me time”

Sip Sip’s all-new brunch menu

Sip Sip’s brunch offerings condenses its original selection from nine plates to eight, including four new ones.

But if you’re a fan of the old menu, not to worry — the iberico pork jowl flatbread (S$23), cured salmon blinis (S$26), beetroot & potato rosti (S$28), and the big breakfast (S$26) will still be available, alongside the new additions, until 5pm daily!

Here’s what’s new

To kick things off, we tried the mortadella tartine (S$17), Sip Sip’s rendition of the classic avocado toast.

Besides a generous smear of lush guacamole, it’s spruced up further with stracciatella, thin shavings of mortadella, hardboiled-egg quarters and sundried tomatoes on a crisp sourdough

As a whole, there was a tad too much in each bite, but the inclusion of chilli crisps here helped to cut through the rich creaminess

If you’re more of a sweet breakfast person, the stack French toast (S$20) might just satisfy that craving. The first thing you’ll notice is the huge slab of butter perched upon three towering slices of shokupan French toast and once sliced through, the stack reveals a peanut-butter stuffed core.

While visually indulgent, the toast itself has a light, custard-like sweetness that pairs well with the rich, creamy peanut butter. However, we found the bread-to-peanut-butter ratio to be a bit unbalanced, which made the dish feel quite dense as we worked our way through it — we’d recommend getting this for sharing.

If you’re looking for a heartier start to your day, the beef pastrami grilled cheese sandwich (S$24) is a great option for savoury breakfast lovers.

It’s an elevated version of a grilled cheese sandwich, with savoury pastrami and creamy emmental cheese encased between two pieces of crispy sourdough slices smeared with a sharp mustard.

While we know not everyone is a fan of gherkins, they were essential in providing the much-needed acidity needed to balance the rich, salty flavours.

For drinks, we opted for the caffeine-rich tiramisu matcha (S$7.50), a unique medley of earthy matcha and sweet espresso foam.

A more refreshing option would be the taro coconut (S$8.50), a lightly sweet coconut milk topped with a creamy taro foam that reminded us of the traditional dessert, taro sago soup.

If these new items aren’t quite your vibe, try this the iberico pork jowl flatbread (S$23), a returning Sip Sip brunch item.

The unique textures are what made this dish stand out as one of our favorites — crispy focaccia flatbread topped with a sweet tomato herb jam and grilled pork jowl, charred just enough for those crispy edges.

Brunch not your thing? Sip Sip’s all-day menu still remains available alongside its new brunch offerings. Plates such as the steak Fritez (S$30) serve up a juicy, tender grilled Angus oyster blade steak alongside golden shoe-string fries and a bold pepper sauce.

With its new brunch menu, Sip Sip vies for a place as your trusty go-to brunch spot — expect familiar flavours that hit the spot every single time. With its new Saturday opening hours, stop by after a morning run along the Singapore River, or fuel up before a day of exploring the city centre and museums nearby!

This was a hosted tasting.
