McDonald’s Singapore is back with Samurai burgers, seaweed McShaker fries, and new menu items!

Jasmine Ng | August 13, 2026

After its recent foray into spice-forward burgers, McDonald’s Singapore is back with some crowd favourites.

On August 20, the Samurai burgers and seaweed McShaker fries will be back on menus, alongside several all-new Japanese-inspired sides and desserts — katsu chicken tenders, Kyoho grape soft-serve and strawberry daifuku pie.

Cult faves make a grand return

The Samurai beef burger (from S$10.15 for single patty, S$12.95 for double) features a beef patty coated in its signature sweet-savoury teriyaki sauce, with lettuce and mayonnaise in between sesame buns, while the Samurai chicken burger (from S$10.15 for single, S$12.95 for double) swaps the beef for a teriyaki-glazed chicken patty.

For a bit more protein in your meal, pick the tamago Samurai beef or chicken burgers (both from S$11.45) for an extra fried egg under the greens.

The seaweed McShaker fries (extra S$1.25 with a meal) are back, too, bringing the fan-favourite seaweed seasoning back to the Golden Arches’ famed French fries.

There are new sides and desserts, too

McDonald’s Singapore is launching three new items to accompany the Japanese-inspired lineup.

The katsu chicken tenders (three pieces from S$5.50) feature strips of tender chicken wrapped in a crunchy fried coating and a light dusting of a savoury seasoning.

Those with a sweet tooth should try the new Kyoho grape soft serve (from S$1.50), which gives the classic McDonald’s soft-serve a fruity grape twist. The flavour is also available as a McFlurry with Oreo bits.

There’s also the strawberry daifuku pie (from S$1.80), a Japanese-inspired rendition of McDonald’s iconic apple pie. Beneath its pink pastry shell is a combination of stretchy mochi, red bean paste, and a bright strawberry jam.

McDonald’s Singapore launches its first Samurai game show

From August 18 to 30, McDonald’s Singapore is bringing Samurai Ike!, a game-show-themed pop-up, to the open area beside its Bugis Junction restaurant.

The free-entry installation runs from August 18 to 30, 12pm to 9pm daily. Participants can join three game-show challenges, just as though they are on a real-life game show, for free prizes!

The Samurai menu, meanwhile, launches August 20 from 11am at all McDonald’s Singapore restaurants islandwide, Drive-Thrus, and major delivery platforms. It will only be available for a limited period, while stocks last.
