Jollibee Singapore is joining in on the National Day festivities with two new limited-edition items!

Fans can expect a unique yet familiar laksa twist on the Jollibee sandwich and loaded fries.

Jollibee’s OK Laksa lineup

The signature laksa sauce took over a year to develop, with the Jollibee Singapore team and chef Lennard working to keep it true to the dish, while making sure it still fit the fast food chain’s signature offerings.

The final result is a thick and fragrant laksa sauce featuring laksa leaves, dried prawns, red chilli padi, and galangal — all the requisite goodies for a solid laksa paste.

The highlight is the laksa chicken sandwich (S$7.90), a chunky fried chicken patty slathered with an aromatic and slightly spicy laksa sauce, boiled egg slices and lettuce in between two burger buns.

There’s a choice of non-spicy or spicy chicken patties, so if you prefer bold spicy flavours, you’ll want to go for the latter

Fried egg is more common in burgers, but here, it is switched out in favour of the boiled version, to better echo traditional bowl laksa — that is, as traditional as it can be in its modern burger form.

If you’re looking for a full meal, the laksa sandwich value meal (S$9.50) comes with an extra medium fries and medium drink.

Also joining the National Day lineup is the laksa loaded fries (S$7.50) — a platter of crispy golden fries, topped with chunks of fried chicken and drizzled with laksa sauce.

We found the portion pretty filling, so we’d recommend getting it to share. But, if you’re looking to get your fill, you can top up to get the value meal (S$8.50), which comes with extra medium fries and a medium drink.

This was a hosted tasting.
