McSpicy Insiders network: McDonald’s Singapore drops secret, off-menu twist on the OG and exclusive merch
If you’re a McSpicy fan, you might recall that McDonald’s Singapore launched a brand-new sweet BBQ McSpicy earlier this year.
It seems like the fast-food giant isn’t done with the cult-fave burger. It has just announced a new loyalty programme for its most devoted McSpicy fans, and it comes with a secret-menu twist on the McSpicy and exclusive merchandise you won’t find anywhere else.
Called the McSpicy Insiders network, the initiative calls on fans of the cult-fave burger to “rep your love” and is set to be announced on Thursday (September 10).
A sneak peek at the McSpicy Insiders network
Members of the McSpicy Insiders network get access to two things: Members-only merch and a secret, off-menu burger that you can find only on the McDonald’s app.
It’s the OG, but jazzed up a little — a McSpicy with egg & cheese (TBA). It delivers the familiar heat of the original, with melted cheese to temper the spice. A fried egg adds a bump in protein for anyone looking for a more filling bite.
To unlock it, you have to download the McDonald’s app, register as a member and order it online — you will not be able to order it directly at the restaurant.
McDonald’s Singapore has also teased that there’s more in store, with more Insiders deals incoming throughout the year.
Limited-edition McSpicy merchandise
Fans will also get access to exclusive McSpicy merchandise — a cap, a patch, and a lanyard x keychain set.
There’s a cap to keep cool in Singapore’s scorching heat, while the patch can be sewn or stuck onto your belongings for a personalised touch — letting insiders flaunt their loyalty wherever they go.
Rounding off the kit is a lanyard x keychain set, so McSpicy fans can keep their phones close and their hands free for eating.
According to McDonald’s Singapore, none of these items will be available for purchase, making them an unofficial badge of a McSpicy Insider.
The fast-food giant has yet to release information about how to redeem these items, so check back later this week!
