New sweet BBQ McSpicy coming to McDonald’s Singapore, early access available now
Is there a more iconic Singaporean fast-food item than McDonald’s McSpicy burger?
The popular burger was first released in 1999 and has become a deeply entrenched part of local culture, and a regular feature in many supper feasts.
Of course, there’s always room for creativity, so McDonald’s Singapore started putting spins on the McSpicy with limited-time releases, such as a smoky chilli mayo rendition in May 2025.
It seems May is the magic month. Come May 14, we are getting yet another fresh release from McDonald’s Singapore: A duo of sweet BBQ McSpicy burgers.
While last year saw the McSpicy’s flavours being amped up, 2026 sweetens the deal for fans, using a spicy BBQ creme sauce to complement the heat-packed fried chicken patty, rather than the usual McChicken sauce.
The two options available are the sweet BBQ McSpicy egg and cheese and sweet BBQ McSpicy chicken bacon.
The former is topped with a fried egg and melted cheese, while the latter ups the indulgence with crispy chicken bacon!
Plus, there is good news if you are an impatient McDonald’s fan, too — you can get early access to the two new sweet BBQ McSpicy burgers on GrabFood! From today until May 13, the two burgers will be available for delivery (from S$9.30), exclusively on GrabFood, prior to the official launch for dine-in and takeaway!
