Chick-fil-A is opening its doors this December in Bugis+ with a Singapore-exclusive sauce
If you love American fast food, then you’d already know that another cult-favourite is making its way to Singapore!
If you didn’t manage to catch the Chick-fil-A pop-up last year at Esplanade Mall, fret not — the beloved American fast food chain is set to open its doors here in our Little Red Dot on Dec 11 at Bugis+!
Best known for its hearty fried chicken sandwiches and range of sauces, Chick-fil-A is bringing its usual grub in a cosy, easily accessible spot, just off the heart of town, alongside a special Singapore-exclusive sauce — spicy chilli — that pays homage to our local love for all things spice.

The brand’s Singapore outpost will be its first-ever outlet in Asia, and this is just the start, by the looks of it — the company has earmarked US$75 million for further investment in the region over the next 10 years.
The Bugis outlet is spacious and features familiar Singapore motifs, including a backdrop that features local landmarks and even a recessed outline of the island on the ceiling!

As per Chick-fil-A’s longstanding tradition, its Singapore outpost will be open from Mondays to Saturdays only, from 10am to 10pm.
This continues the chain’s practice of remaining closed on Sundays, to give employees a much-needed day off for rest, family and worship, at their discretion.
A deep dive into the menu
The menu is loaded with five variations of chicken sandwiches and four types of sides.
Chick-fil-A Singapore does not have halal certification at present, but HungryGoWhere understands that the menu does not contain pork or lard.
The Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich (from S$6.80), features a boneless chicken breast that’s nicely seasoned and breaded, along with sliced dill pickles, and layered in between toasted buttery brioche buns.
As with all of the sandwiches on the menu, it comes sans sauce. You’re invited to add these on yourself, according to what suits your palate best — but more on this in a little while!

The breading from the patty gives the sandwich a satisfying crunch, overall, while the dill pickles added a nice tang. And since the chicken breast is pressure-cooked rather than deep-fried, it felt lighter and not too cloying — making each bite feel a little more guilt-free!
If you’re craving something with a bit more kick, the spicy chicken sandwich (from S$6.90) is a solid pick. It’s crunchy, well-seasoned, and packs a satisfying punch — great for those who enjoy some heat, without it being overwhelmingly spicy.

But if you’re looking to indulge, there’s the spicy deluxe sandwich (from S$8.10) on offer, too. Seasoned with a spicy blend of peppers, this one’s got more kick to it if you’re a real spice enthusiast!

It comes loaded with sliced dill pickles, lettuce, tomato, and pepper-jack cheese — perfect if you’re looking for a heartier and filling option.
In Chick-fil-A sauces, we trust
Speaking of sauces, we were most excited about the range of condiments that Chick-fil-A is rolling out. You can expect six flavours in total, including a Singapore-exclusive spicy chilli.
And all for free, too!
That’s right, there’s no need to pay extra for your favourite sauces — just select your preferred ones at the self-ordering kiosk, or simply ask the staff if you’d like a little more to go with your meal.

The classic Chick-fil-A sauce was savoury and had a slight tang to it — we could see why it remains a signature!
The spicy chilli sauce is said to be a spin on Singapore’s very own chilli crab. It had slight lemony sweet notes, and a mild heat from the blend of garlic and red pepper.

One of our favourite picks was the honey mustard. It was sweet, creamy and tangy — we found ourselves constantly dipping everything into this!
You can even choose to mix-and-match the sauces together, to concoct your very own flavour combination. We personally took a liking to a mix of honey mustard and garden herb ranch sauce.
Flavour-packed sides and tasty beverages, too
Besides its signature sandwiches, Chick-fil-A’s sides are worth making a trip for, too.
The Chick-fil-A nuggets (from S$6.90 for eight pieces) are generously breaded and crispy, made with chicken breast, and are served piping hot.
When it came to pairing them with the sauces, we really liked the spicy chilli and Chick-fil-A ones!

The Chick-fil-A waffle potato fries (from S$4.20) were a great addition to the meal, too — crispy, light, and perfect for dipping into the array of sauces.
You can even try dipping these fries into the milkshakes (S$6.90), for an indulgent snack. There’s vanilla, strawberry, chocolate, and even cookies & cream, to choose from!

If you’re looking for a lighter, more refreshing beverage, the brand has a range of specialty beverages in sweetened, unsweetened, and diet variations, too.

Sip on either the in-house lemonade (from S$4.50), freshly-brewed iced tea (from S$3.80), or the Sunjoy drink (from S$4.50) — the best of worlds as it’s a mix of lemonade and iced tea!
This was a hosted tasting.
