50 Best Restaurants 2026: One Singapore restaurant makes the cut, Spain takes the crown
The 50 Best Restaurants list for 2026 has officially been announced!
First established in 2002, it was formerly known as the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list, and has grown into one of the most highly regarded accolades in the industry, alongside the Michelin Guide.
This year’s ceremony took place in Lima, Peru on November 4 and brought together some of the world’s leading chefs and restaurateurs to celebrate the best of the dining scene.

Singapore’s Odette is the city’s sole entry on the shortlist at No. 15.
An extended list of restaurants ranked Nos. 51 to 100 was also released two weeks ago on October 21. Three local establishments earned a spot: Seroja at No. 64, making its debut on the list, Burnt Ends at No. 89, and Labyrinth at No. 98.

Odette has maintained a spot on the top 50 list for four consecutive years, and was also the only Singapore establishment featured in the previous three editions.
The three-Michelin-starred French restaurant has also moved up the list, from No. 25 last year.
On top of that, Odette’s Lesley Liu clinched this year’s Best Sommelier Award.
Together with the extended list, this brings Singapore’s total to four restaurants in The 50 Best Restaurants for 2026 (including Nos. 51 to 100):
15. Odette
64. Seroja
89. Burnt Ends
98. Labyrinth

Taking home the top honour this year is Asador Etxebarri from Spain, recognised for its flame-grilled meat and seafood.
In Asia, our neighbouring countries also put up a strong showing. Bangkok’s Gaggan came in at No. 2, which also makes it the highest-ranked restaurant in the region and this year’s Best Restaurant in Asia.

Hong Kong secured two spots in the top 10, with Wing ranking No. 5 and The Chairman following closely at No. 6.
There were also several new entries from across Asia this year. These are Seoul’s Onjium at No. 41, Ru Yuan in Hangzhou at No. 36, and Shanghai’s Meet the Bund at No. 21.
Bangkok’s remarkable run continued beyond the top 10, with three more of its restaurants making the top 20: Sorn at No. 12, Suhring at No. 14, and Nusara at No. 18.
With five restaurants in the top 50, Thailand, as well as Italy, have emerged as the countries with the most entries in the world this year!
