Wong Fu Fu launches new Cinnamoroll pop-up and mega 5L Milo matcha
Cinnamoroll lovers, get ready to squeal!
The fluffy white pup with his signature long ears, blue eyes, rosy cheeks, and cinnamon roll tail has made his way to halal-certified Taiwanese spot Wong Fu Fu.
From September 24, the restaurant is serving up a Cinnamoroll-themed menu that’s as cute as it is heart-melting.
Much like its Crayon Shin-Chan pop-up in June, this collaboration is running for a limited time only, though no official end-date has been announced.

Wong Fu Fu has decked out its space with Cinnamoroll’s signature blues and whites, featuring prints, cushions, and hanging ornaments of the popular Sanrio character.
If you’ve ever been to one of its earlier pop-ups, you’d know that the restaurant also rolls out special, whimsically decorated dishes, to match the theme.
This time round, the dishes are shaped after the character. Take for instance the grilled salmon with rice and beetroot cream sauce (S$21.90) that features the furry pup as a Cinnamoroll-shaped mound of white rice.

Also on the menu is a grilled beef burger with smoky BBQ sauce (S$20.90), which you can swap for a plant-based patty, if you prefer.
In place of the usual sandwich buns, Wong Fu Fu stacks its burger with housemade mantou, layered with classic ingredients such as grilled beef patty, cheddar cheese, tomato, and lettuce. It’s served with a side of tater tots, too.
While this doesn’t reinvent the wheel, the restaurant’s rendition does feel like a lighter, healthier twist on the classic beef burger — and that’s not a bad thing, in our books.

There’s also the Taiwan-style steamed herbal chicken soup with shiitake mushroom (S$18.90) — a comforting bowl with gentle, yet not too overpowering, herbal notes.
This is definitely a soul-warming dish you’d crave, especially on a cold, rainy day.

As for the sides, there’s eight to choose from, too, including Wong Fu Fu signatures of tater tots with Taiwan mochi balls (S$13.90) and truffle fries with truffle mayo dip (S$13.90). These are given a special Cinnamoroll spin, as is the newly added Korean fried chicken with soy garlic glaze (S$14.90). Each dish is packaged in a limited-edition Cinnamoroll box.

And if you’ve saved tummy space for dessert, don’t miss out on the soft Hokkaido milk Swiss roll (S$14.90) — a Cinnamoroll-shaped delight filled with fresh cream, with some strawberries, and cookie crumbs. It’s seriously too cute to eat!

Don’t skip the Cinnamoroll-exclusive drinks either! There’s the Strawberry Field matcha latte (S$12.90) with strawberry milk and Blue Horizon lychee soda (S$11.90), both crowned with a fluffy cloud of cotton candy.
Even cafe staples such as the cafe latte (S$9.90) and cocoa latte (S$9.90) are served in adorable Cinnamoroll mugs that you’ll definitely want to snap a photo of.

But if matcha is your one true love, Wong Fu Fu’s latest 5L mega series is your moment to shine.
You can choose from the mega matcha-Zilla latte (S$69.90) that’s loaded with a whopping 250g of Milo powder, or the mega Cloudy blue matcha coconut latte (S$59.90), a blue pea-infused latte with matcha foam.
If all of these aren’t enough Cinnamoroll for you, Wong Fu Fu has a small range of merchandise that you can buy home, too!
This was a hosted tasting.
