Trifecta’s new Riders’ Lounge is a spot to kick back and relax

Angeline Ang | July 22, 2025

If you know of Trifecta, you’ll know it’s more than just a sports hub where people go to surf, skate, and snow — it’s a lifestyle brand with a laidback, easy energy.

Now, it has added something new to the mix: Riders’ Lounge. In true Trifecta spirit, the lounge is open, unfussy, and comforting — designed for the in-between moments.

The space, formerly known as Yeastside, has since undergone an extensive renovation. The menu and kitchen remains — with a few additions — but the rebrand ties everything together into a more cohesive, all-rounded experience.

Whether you’re fresh off a session, on a coffee break, or looking to get work done with good energy in the background, this feels like that good hangout spot. And we all love a good hangout spot.

Stories on the ceiling, sounds in the space

Look up — you’ll notice the hanging gallery, a ceiling-mounted installation of works by Leica photographers. It’s a cool and unexpected feature that adds depth to the space.

Each photo carries its own story, contributing to a visual rhythm that ties the room together. It is a quiet, creative touch.

Then there’s the sound and vinyl bar, done in collaboration with JBL. You can’t miss it.

At a cosy spot at the side of the space are crates of records curated by Vinylsavedmylife — and trust, the curation is top-tier.

Browse through old-school classics such as Abba or The Strokes, or Midwest-emo staples such as American Football — these are for all sale, too.

This feature doesn’t just sit pretty — it adds an entire new layer to the lounge. With the free-to-enter monthly Sunset & Vinyl sessions, the space turns into a casual community of music lovers.

These sessions are genre-exploring — with great sounds and good company.

The next session is happening on August 2, from 4pm to 7pm, and it celebrates reggae and dancehall. If you’re looking for a reason to check out the space, this is your sign.

Daytime sandwiches, sharing pizzas and all-day bites

The kitchen at the lounge is courtesy of Yeastside, the same sourdough-focused brand known for its crusty loaves and comforting bakes.

The focaccia sandwiches are new to the menu, and available only until 2pm.

These come stacked on thick, olive oil-rich slabs that strike the right balance between chew and fluff — crisp on the edges, soft within.

We tried the Mr Crabs ($18), which comes packed with chunky crab meat, herby green harissa, crispy hashbrown, romaine, and pickled red onions.

It is a rich and well-structured sandwich: The crab and hash add heft, while the harissa gives it a fresh lift. The pickled onions cut through the richness with a sharp, yet sweet acidity.

If you’re here with company, and in the mood to share, the pizza menu kicks in from 12pm onwards.

The prosciutto and arugula pizza (S$24) keeps things classic, and nails the execution.

It is built on a thin and crisp base with a light chew, slathered with housemade tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, grated parmesan, and finished with silky ribbons of prosciutto, peppery arugula, and a drizzle of olive oil.

Everything tastes fresh and well-balanced, nailing the sweet spot between salty, peppery, and fresh.

Our pick from the sides? The spicy popcorn chicken ($16) — easily our standout of the day.

Each piece is perfectly crisp, tossed in Sichuan spices, dried chillies, garlic oil, cabbage, and peanuts. It has just the right amount of numbing heat, backed by savoury notes and crispy textures.

It is a dish that walks the fine line between snack and addiction — we couldn’t put our forks down.

Also on the all-day bites menu is the mentaiko fries (S$16). These thundercrunch fries come loaded with creamy, umami-rich mentaiko sauce and a sprinkle of tobiko for pop and salt.

It’s cheesy and indulgent — a solid bite on its own, though it pales a little next to the punchy popcorn chicken.

Coffee by day, craft beers in the evening

From morning till 4pm, Riders’ Lounge runs a dependable coffee and tea lineup — nothing too flashy, just solid staples that do the job well (especially if you’re settling in to get work done).

We had an iced oat white coffee (S$7), smooth and mellow, as well as the matcha (S$6.50) — creamy, grassy, and not too sweet.

By late afternoon, the craft beer selection takes centrestage.

There’s a rotating line-up on tap — and you can check the beer wall for what’s currently pouring.

You’ll also find crisp lagers and hoppy brews, such as the Brewlander SG LAHger (S$14).

The Riders’ Lounge is slick, stylish, and allows for casual conversations. You don’t need to be a skater or surfer to feel welcome here — you just need to want a place to hang.

Come by, order a sandwich, flip through a record or two, and stay for the vibes — there’s a good chance you’ll want to linger a little longer.

This was a hosted tasting.
