Sushi Express has teamed up with cartoon series The Powerpuff Girls for a limited-time collaboration, with its sister brand 争鲜 GoGo (Sushi Express GoGo) also joining in — bringing a dose of nostalgia into its dining spaces.

Running until June 7, the collaboration introduces exclusive collectibles and themed menu items inspired by the iconic crime-fighting cartoon characters Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup.

Selected outlets at IMM, Heartbeat@Bedok, Westgate, Paya Lebar, and Hougang Mall have also been transformed with vibrant, Powerpuff Girls-themed decor.

As part of the collaboration, two exclusive items are available at all Sushi Express outlets: A sushi dish and a dessert.

The Power sushi trio (S$3) features a stack of cucumber maki, tamagoyaki, and a slice of salmon sashimi, finished with a touch of crab mayonnaise. Each plate comes with a mini printout of one, or all, of the Powerpuff Girls, adding a collectible element to the experience.

For dessert, the Rainbow cheesecake (S$3) is a colourful nod to the characters, layered in pink, blue, and green. Despite its playful appearance, it keeps things simple with a soft, creamy texture that’s easy to enjoy.

At all 争鲜 GoGo outlets, the collaboration is kept simple with just one exclusive dessert item — the triple Swiss roll (S$3). This colourful treat features a soft sponge roll cake, making it an easy option to end your meal.

Beyond the food, the experience is just as fun, with plenty of adorable merch and interactive elements to look out for.

This experience also comes with a stamp-card mechanic inspired by Sushi Express’s conveyor belt system. Each Sushi Express and 争鲜 GoGo outlet is grouped into colour-coded routes — pink, green, cyan, and a special gold track — mirroring Singapore’s MRT lines, where pink represents the North-South Line, green the East-West Line, and cyan the North-East Line, while the gold track highlights three special outlets.

If you dine at a green-coded spot, you’ll earn yourself a green stamp — and similarly so, for the pink and cyan ones.

As you spend at each outlet, you’ll collect stamps along these tracks, with one stamp awarded for every S$10 spent.

Two stamps unlock a subsidised spin at its gachapon machine (with S$1 top-up), while four consecutive stamps earn you a free spin — where you can win either a random keychain or voucher.

The keychains come in five designs — three featuring The Powerpuff Girls, and two inspired by Sushi Express. You can also pick up a flight tag keychain (S$2.90 with a minimum spend of S$10, limited to one redemption per bill, which is designed to pair with the five keychains.

If you collect six stamps along the same colour line, you can redeem an exclusive Sushi Express and The Powerpuff Girls plushie, which features one of the three superheroines holding a sushi.

As each keychain plush is tied to a specific colour line, it can only be redeemed at outlets within that track — for example, dining at green-track outlets such as Paya Lebar will count towards the Buttercup plushie, whose titular character is always decked out in green motifs.

Outlets that sit on multiple tracks, such as Westgate (on both the red and green lines), will carry stock for all corresponding plushies, while selected gold outlets will have all three available for redemption.

To top it off, a claw machine will be making its way across selected outlets until May 12. With a minimum spend of S$15 in a single receipt, you’ll get a chance to play and try your luck at winning the adorable The Powerpuff Girls plushies inside.

  • Week 3 (April 27 to May 3): 争鲜 GoGo, Amk Hub
  • Week 4 (May 4 to May 10): Sushi Express, Heartbeat@Bedok
  • Week 5 (May 11 to May 17): Sushi Express, Westgate
