Clarke Quay restaurant-bar Neon Pigeon is turning 10 with its food and drinks at S$10, too

Sarah Chua | July 18, 2025

If you haven’t visited Neon Pigeon — that sits right by Clarke Quay MRT station — by now, its 10th anniversary would be a good time to start.

The Tokyo-inspired bar, named on the 50 Best Discovery list, wants to celebrate with its diners with a line-up of 10 items — five dishes and five cocktails — all at an affordable price of S$10.

In line with the celebrations, its head chef Sean Mell, who has worked the kitchens at Nobu Hawaii and Hong Kong, has also refreshed its menu, keeping things fresh and exciting for regulars and for those new to the concept.

The S$10 menu, titled “The Perfect 10” runs from July 9 to August 9 (just one month!), and features five cocktails with varying intensities and flavours, and five dishes.

Lest you think the dishes are just going to be sides or downsized versions of their usual mains, Neon Pigeon is going all out with the celebrations by offering a hefty unagi & foie gras donabe at S$10 (U.P. S$22), alongside some smaller dishes. Yes, we’re not kidding.

The catch? Guests can only pick one S$10 item per visit (so if your dining party has two people, each person can pick one — that’s a total of two items per table).

And all of these are available while its “daily stash” lasts. There’s no knowing how many portions there are, but it’s safe to say that the donabe will be a hot pick across tables, for its quality ingredients and generous portion size — all for S$10.

Joining the S$10 party, too, are its toro tataki (seared fatty tuna, U.P. S$18), pork asparagus kushiyaki (pork skewers, U.P. S$14 for two sticks), menchi katsu sando (breaded meat cutlet with soft milk bread, U.P. S$18), and a decadent foie gras toast (U.P. S$20).

But really, we’d recommend going for the donabe if that’s still available — there’s a good amount of unagi, foie gras, nestled atop a crisp bed of rice, drizzled with sansho and kinome (both Japanese peppers, with slightly different notes).

Those who love their drinks will also relish Neon Pigeon’s S$10 cocktails, with choices ranging from a showy Ran-Ta-Ta-Tan (U.P. S$25), a zesty tall drink in a lantern, to a boozy Teared negroni (S$25), a well-loved classic, which comes with a smoky presentation.

If you need ideas on what to order from its new items — that aren’t S$10 but still very value-for-money — we were huge fans of the Tokyo hummus (S$12), a creamy dip speckled with furikake and edamame and served with curry chips. The salt-baked hamachi collar (S$25), served in a fiery display tableside, also impressed with its soft and milky flesh.

Lastly, we were not expecting it, but the chocolate trifle (S$12) surprised us with a very clean finish, despite the layers of chocolate ganache, cake, whipped cream, miso almond brittle and dulce de leche. We’re going to just pretend it was a healthy dessert just because of how light the flavours were.

We’d give Neon Pigeon’s celebrations a 10/10 for its sheer value, fun, new dishes, and buzzy vibes all around. Swing by before the promotions end on August 9 — don’t say we didn’t give you a heads up!
