Looking for a bold yet comforting brunch? Moxie’s new brunch menu hits that sweet spot
Weekends at Moxie are getting a sun-soaked refresh. The modern Mediterranean restaurant by the team behind Siri House (Dempsey) and Cudo (Telok Ayer) has launched a new weekend brunch — a laidback, yet indulgent affair designed for long, leisurely afternoons filled with good food, bright cocktails, and even better company.
Set within its breezy, beach house-inspired space at College Road, Moxie invites diners to graze and gather over a menu that celebrates hearty comfort food through a mod-Med lens.

The new brunch menu expands on the restaurant’s signature repertoire, weaving in familiar staples and introducing brunch-exclusive plates made for sharing — the kind you’ll want to linger over from noon till late.
Whether you’re here for the classics or curious to explore something new, expect dishes that balance comfort with creativity. You’ll find moreish dishes such as double-bone iberico pork chops and shrimp and grits, alongside brunch-only creations such as buttermilk fried chicken lollipops, spiced corn ribs, and a sweet finish of banana mango crumble.

Of course, no brunch is complete without something bright and bubbly in hand. The new cocktail programme brings daytime-friendly sips — from the herbaceous Summerlong with gin, grapefruit and basil, to the decadent Baklava martini rimmed with pistachio honey — alongside customisable highballs and two hours of free-flow (S$38 per person) wines, rose, and prosecco for those in the mood to linger.
Brunch runs from 11.30am to 3.30pm every weekend, and much like the restaurant’s weekday charm, it’s all about that balance between elegance and ease — where every plate and drink feels like a mini escape.
The dishes that won us over

To start, peruse the cocktail menu and order yourself a refreshing glass of Summerlong (S$17). It’s light and bright, with gin, basil, grapefruit, and cucumber. It works well to open the palate and also as a mid-brunch palate reset.
Safe to say, we ordered two of these.
There’s also the slightly zestier Yuzu Calling (S$18). With a tequila base, this one delivers lovely punchy notes thanks to chilli flakes, yuzu, ginger ale, and triple sec. You may be taking it slow for this weekend brunch, but this yuzu’s definitely calling your name!

As for starters, the buttermilk fried chicken lollipops (S$15) are an absolute must-order — and clearly a crowd favourite, judging by how many plates we watched leave the kitchen during brunch.
Brined overnight in buttermilk, turmeric, oregano, and salt, then coated in seasoned flour and fried till audibly crisp, each lollipop hits that sweet spot between crunch and savouriness.
The smoked almond aioli — blended almonds, chipotle, and garlic confit — adds a roasty, nutty richness that keeps you going back in for another dip. It’s the kind of opener that won the table over instantly.

Don’t let the idea of “cod spread” throw you off — the Spanish cod brandade (S$19) is one of Moxie’s most comforting small plates.
Salt cod is simmered in thyme- and clove-infused milk, then folded into mashed potatoes, garlic confit, shio kombu, creme fraiche, butter, and breadcrumbs, then torched for a gentle char.
The result? Something akin to a very grown-up tuna-mayo dip — silkier, smokier, and layered with savoury depth. Slather it onto the toasted sourdough and watch it disappear far too quickly.

If seafood spreads aren’t your thing, the spiced corn ribs (S$16) are an easy crowd-pleaser. Deep-fried corn segments come dusted with paprika, coriander, and cumin, then drizzled with cumin aioli and feta crumbs for a tangy, smoky finish.
They’re messy, fun, and impossible to eat neatly — which is precisely why wet wipes are thoughtfully included. Embrace the chaos; it’s worth it.

Moving on to the brunch mains at Moxie, the shrimp & grits (S$36) is a standout — mostly because it’s not something you often see done well in Singapore.
Tiger prawns, marinated overnight in Calabrian chilli and garlic, are grilled until bouncy and fragrant, then set over saffron cornmeal grits enriched with cream, milk, and cotija cheese. A drizzle of pomegranate molasses ties everything together with a bright, sweet acidity.
The prawns are wonderfully seasoned with a satisfying snap. At the same time, the grits strike a surprising balance: Rich, but not heavy, silky yet structured, and perfumed with saffron without overshadowing the seafood.

For those after something comforting and fuss-free, the black garlic pesto (S$32) will hit the spot. Linguine tossed in white wine, chilli flakes, and an aromatic black garlic pesto forms the base, while rock shrimp, Hokkaido scallops, and mussels round it out with plump, juicy bites.
It arrives generously portioned, steaming hot, and full of that deeply savoury, garlicky aroma — quietly stealing the show and making you side-eye anyone who tries to steal a forkful.

Before calling it a day, make space — however small — for the banana mango crumble (S$15). A warm banana-mango base spiked with nutmeg, dark rum, cloves, and brown sugar sits beneath an almond-flour crumble, all served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
The fruit is syrupy and almost caramelised, the crumble is toasty and sweet, and together they’re satisfying enough that the ice cream almost feels optional.
Our only gripe? It melts too quickly when served on top; we’d have preferred it on the side so we could pace ourselves properly.
Why Moxie deserves a spot in your rotation
As far as weekend brunches go, Moxie nails that balance between hearty comfort and thoughtful flair. Whether you’re dipping into smoky starters, twirling through a bowl of seafood-packed pasta, or ending on a warm crumble, the menu feels curated with care rather than excess.
It’s the sort of brunch spot that rewards both the indecisive (because almost everything hits) and the adventurous (because even the curveball dishes deliver).
If your weekend routine is due for a shake-up, Moxie’s refreshed brunch lineup makes a strong case for becoming your next go-to.
