KFC’s all-new ghost pepper wings are here to test your spice limits

Good news for spice-lovers: KFC Singapore has just dropped its latest limited-time menu item — its signature chicken wings, but slathered in a new fiery, tangy ghost pepper sauce.
Ghost peppers, originating from northeastern India, are one of the world’s spiciest peppers — with an average rating of one million scoville heat units.
Fresh off its collaboration with Samyang Buldak, KFC’s spicy streak continues. Available from tomorrow (June 25) to July 22, these new ghost-pepper offerings are here to test your limits.
The ghost pepper dunked wings (from S$7.25) come in a set of four, and paired with a tub of creamy cheese dip. You might just need to go for the full meal (S$10.80), complete with fries and a drink — because honestly, it helps to tame the burn.

So… just how spicy is it? The heat builds gradually, creeping up on you in every bite. By the third wing, it actually gets easier — partly because of the satisfying, spice-induced numbness, but mostly because the flavours just work.
The sauce brings a sharp tang and smokiness, rounded off with a subtle sweetness. And if you’re anything like us, you’ll keep reaching for the next wing — even when you’ve hit that frazzled point of spice overload.

To soften the blow, every order comes with a generous tub of creamy cheese dip. Whether you’re the type to pour it all over, or prefer dunking it bite by bite, it’s there to help you survive the burn.
It’s a lifesaver — cutting through the spice and turning each mouthful into an even saucier, satisfying one.

If you prefer your spice with a bit more crunch, go for the crispy tenders with ghost pepper cheese (from S$6.80) — available in sets of three, or five pieces if you’re ordering delivery.
At least with this one, you’ll have a bit more control over how much heat you can handle. Plus, the ghost-pepper dipping sauce comes with cheese mixed in — making it slightly sweeter, creamier, and way easier to keep going.

Then there are the ghost pepper loaded fries (from S$5.50). This sauce was made for fries. Even though we were already stuffed, we somehow managed to polish off the whole tray of spicy cheese fries.
Thanks to the potato and cheese combo, it’s a lot more forgiving than the wings. In our books, this one’s a must-try too.
Bring your spice-loving friends along and take on the ghost pepper wings together. It’s going to be hot — but trust us, it’s worth it.
The all-new menu items are available for dine-in and takeaway at all KFC outlets, except Singapore zoo, Singapore Polytechnic and Sentosa.
