We’ve entered the time of the year where we’re on the receiving end of rainy and chilly weather almost every other day.

If you, like us, find yourself craving for piping hot hotpot meals — and without burning a hole in your wallet, too — the new Hi Hot Pot at City Square Mall, might just be the place to check out!

Soup bases start from as low as S$29.90 for two to three diners.

According to an Instagram post last Saturday, November 23, the outlet is already open to the public and is in its soft-opening phase. It is set to open officially in December.

In case you’re wondering if it’s any good, Hi Hot Pot is from the folks behind Haidilao, one of Singapore’s most well-loved hotpot brands. (Did you know they now have 19 outlets islandwide since they opened here in 2012?)

What to expect at Hi Hot Pot Singapore

There’s six hot pot soup bases available: Signature Hong Kong golden soup with fish maw, exclusive Sichuan suancai fish, classic secret soy aromatic spiced shrimp, nourishing herbal chicken, Nanyang signature curry chicken, and nourishing collagen herbal pork trotters.

Then, diners can choose between a small pot (for two to three diners, from S$29.90 to S$42.90), or a large pot (for four to six diners, from S$39.90 to S$59.90).

As with any hotpot restaurant, there’s quite a selection of ingredients, such as its signature tiger shrimp paste (S$9.90), and signature 10-seconds sliced beef (S$12.90), as well as various other sides and add-ons. It is, admittedly, less broad than what you’d find at Haidilao, but this is to be expected for a more wallet-friendly concept.

If you’re looking to round up your meal with something sweet, top up S$1 to enjoy its beverages, traditional Chengdu-style iced jelly and side toppings.
