Are you a strong, independent dessert lover who knows what you want? Or just someone who prefers to get what you need from shops and zip out with minimal social interaction?
If you said yes to any of these points, then the newest Chateraise at Bukit Batok could be the dessert shop of your dreams.
Why? Well, the snazzy new Chateraise store is a cute little spot that’s not only open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but also entirely automated.

Launched on Mar 8, the new unmanned Chateraise outlet is located at Le Quest Shopping Mall Bukit Batok and can accommodate up to six customers at any point.
So how does the newest concept work?
Step-by-step guide to Chateraise’s first unmanned outlet
Before entering the unmanned Chateraise outlet, guests will first need to download the Chateraise Singapore app and register for an account.
You’ll need to provide your phone number and payment information as part of the registration process.
Once that’s done, you just have to scan a QR code from the app at the automatic gantry and you’ll be let in as long as there are less than six customers in the store at that time.
If the store is at its maximum capacity of six customers, you’ll have to wait till one exits before you try to re-enter using the QR code.
Once inside the store, you’ll be able to browse through an assortment of Chateraise’s popular sweet treats.
Pick anything you want and head out after you’re done. The system automatically processes your purchase using your linked payment method as you exit through the automated gates.
Yes, it’s that seamless and fuss-free to have your cake and eat it!
Chateraise Bukit Batok’s exclusive sweets
But other than the unmanned system, does this new Chateraise outlet at Bukit Batok have anything special?
If you’re looking for something new and cool to munch on, then you’re in luck.
There are two exclusive items available on its shelves, namely the Double Fantasy yakiimo (roasted sweet potato puff, S$2), and cookie chou ice cream puffs, available in both Belgium chocolate and vanilla custard flavours.
The former is a new addition to the best-selling Double Fantasy cream puff series; this rendition features fragrant sweet potato cream as the star.
To ensure everything is kept safe and fresh in its unmanned environment, Chateraise has carefully curated its array of baked goods, chilled desserts and ice cream, all of which are also conveniently packaged.
Besides the usual favourites such as the Double Fantasy (S$2) cream puff, you can also get your hands on other popular items such as the silky and bouncy warabi mochi (S$4.50), a traditional treat that’s been gaining popularity in Singapore.
If the weather is particularly unbearable, there is also a plethora of ice cream varieties up for grabs, including the rich and earthy Kyoto Uji matcha soft serve ice cream (S$2.70), which would 100% hit the spot for matcha lovers.
