To all fellow parents and caregivers out there, we feel you. We know that dining out with our kids can be a rather challenging endeavour. Kids need to move, they need to be engaged but most of all, they love to have fun.
Let’s do ourselves a favour by giving ourselves better odds, by opting for kid-friendly restaurants in Singapore that have it all thought out beforehand!
These are restaurants that have something to engage your kids while queuing or waiting for the food to be served, whether it’s just a lovely space for children to roam about safely, indoor or outdoor playgrounds, or supplying thoughtfully curated activities for the young ones.
Here are 15 kid-friendly restaurants in Singapore that will definitely keep your little ones well-entertained while you dine in relative enjoyment.
1. Jovis Cafe
104 Faber Drive
Open: Monday to Wednesday (11.30am to 9.30pm), Friday to Sunday (10.30am to 9.30pm)

Why visit? If you’re looking for a cozy and family-friendly dining spot with food that’s suitable for both adults and children, Jovis Cafe is a quaint and unpretentious spot that checks all the boxes.
It serves pretty standard comfort fare that may seem a little pricey at first glance, but you can be assured of its quality and portions. What further sets it aside from other eateries in the area is its well-maintained kids play area with toys, story books and board games to keep the young ones engaged.
Crowd favourites: This place is best known for its Mummy’s curry chicken (S$17.80) that’s thick and delish, with four drumsticks and a good portion of potatoes. You can choose to have it with toasted baguette or white rice.
For kids, the spaghetti beef bolognese (S$9.90) on its kids’ menu is a balanced meal that comes with a side of mixed vegetables, sausages, and a choice of drink.
2. Platform 1094
1094 Serangoon Road
Open: Tuesday to Sunday (11am to 10pm)

Why visit? This one is for the Potterheads out there (both kids and adults!) who fancy a little dose of magic and fantasy. Platform 1094 is a Harry Potter-themed restaurant that transports you into a different world once you step in. Here, you’ll be treated to an IG-worthy display and magical experience that’s full of interactive and fun elements.
A ton of effort has been put into the aesthetics of the restaurant that’s filled with Harry Potter-related memorabilia, and even has props for your children to try on. The menu has also been specially curated to bring magic to us all.
Crowd favourites: The presentation of all its dishes are spectacular, but the most eye-catching has to be The Flying Charm (S$24), with cold angel hair pasta with masago caviar that’s been tossed in truffle oil and sesame dressing, and is served draped across a wand floating above a smoking bowl.
Kids will also love the colourful, interactive “potions”, too. Mrs Lich’s butterscotch ale (S$10) is a favourite, and Mr Lich’s flaming brew (S$17) is also available for adults who’d like an alcoholic drink — you’ll be in for a fiery treat.
3. Nom Bistro & Bakery
MacPherson Community Club, Level 1, 400 Paya Lebar Way
Open: Sunday to Monday (5.30pm to 1am), Tuesday to Thursday (5.30pm to 2am), Friday to Saturday (5.30pm to 3am)

Why visit? A little gem nestled within MacPherson Community Club, Nom Bistro & Bakery has “no other meaning” but to simply provide a great space for people to dine at. The food here does not disappoint at all, with prices kept affordable because it does not charge a service fee — quite the rarity these days. If you’re in the area on a weekday, it even has a weekday value lunch which comes with a main and a drink from S$10 onwards.
Nom Bistro & Bakery is especially perfect for younger children who will enjoy the small yet well-equipped indoor play area that’s located right beside the dining space, where parents can have a full view of their kids playing while dining, for a peace of mind.
Crowd favourites: Try its seafood stew (S$30), especially if you’re a seafood lover. You can choose between a cream or tomato base and enjoy a variety of seafood that’s full of flavour.
For the kids, they’d love the kid’s set meal (S$12) that you can curate by selecting your choice of carbs, protein and drink/dessert, all served with a side of vegetables.

Why visit? With five outlets currently, Marche is one of the most popular kid-friendly restaurants in Singapore that’s known for not just its unique market-style dining experience and fresh food, but also its very family-oriented approach which ensures you’ll have everything you need as a family with young children if you dine there.
Each Marche restaurant offers a play corner with a range of activities and toys for your children. Apart from colouring sheets, craft sets and even workshops, the most well-loved element would probably be its playgrounds. We’d highly recommend Marche Suntec City where the recently renovated playground is sizeable enough to help your children expend some energy while you enjoy the delicious fare Marche has to offer.
Crowd favourites: Marche’s Swiss rosti with sour cream (S$13.90) is easily the most famous dish at Marche, and its protein add-ons (from S$7.90) really help to elevate this dish.
Choosing for the children is also easy with its Picky Kids’ menu (from S$17.90). You can choose from some Marche favourites — rosti, pizza, savoury or sweet crepe, or pasta alongside a drink and a Movenpick ice cream cup.

Why visit? Casual dining spot Lazy Lizard somehow manages to seamlessly meld its chill bar and bistro atmosphere with something that’s also family friendly. The concept has seven uniquely themed locations that each exude their own charm, but what’s consistent is the menu and quality of food that’s served.
The food here always hits the spot, and serving sizes are also gigantic! Not only that, kids dine free on weekends and public holidays — and this is such a great deal because the portions are generous enough even for an adult. To top it all off, there are kids’ play and reading corners that have a variety of books and activities for the little ones.
Crowd favourites: Its signature rack of pork (S$33.80) will leave you wondering how a thick slab of meat could be that immensely tender and flavourful.
And since you can’t go wrong with pizza for the kids, they’ll most likely enjoy the shrimp pesto pizza (S$24.80) which is not only scrumptious, but also a great way of getting some hidden greens in!
Reserve a table at Lazy Lizard at The Promenade, Sixth Avenue or many other locations via Chope.
6. Open Farm Community
103E Minden Road
Open: Monday to Friday (12pm to 3pm, 6pm to 11pm), Saturday and Sunday (11am to 3.30pm, 6pm to 11pm)

Why visit? Mention kid-friendly restaurants in Singapore and Open Farm Community is usually one of the first places that come to mind. With a lovely garden and vegetable farm, it’s a lovely place to show our city kids where some of our foods come from. It’s also a good opportunity to teach them a lesson or two on sustainability, something that Open Farm Community is passionate about, evident from its support of locally sourced produce and how it runs its restaurant.
The restaurant is also truly a paradise for young children thanks to the open spaces and a sand playground to boot. For the adults, be ready to indulge in a refreshing yet balanced meal of superb quality and creative flavours.
Crowd favourites: There are different menus for weekday lunch, weekend brunch (11am to 3.30pm) and dinner (6pm to 11pm) so be sure to check them out before heading down. Do also note that last orders are an hour before closing time.
If you’re there for dinner, get a Lombok seasonal fish (S$58) for sharing. It’s a fresh whole fish that’s grilled with kombu butter and herbs. Kids would also enjoy our little salmon fish & chips (S$19) on its custom kids’ menu.
Reserve a table at Open Farm Community via Chope.
7. Tiong Bahru Bakery Safari
103E Minden Road
Open: Monday to Sunday (8am to 6pm)

Why visit? Camped in the gardens of Dempsey (right beside Open Farm Community, sharing the same spaces and playground) is the safari-themed Tiong Bahru Bakery. If you’re looking to introduce your kids to glamping, this is it.
Here, you get to dine under a beautiful tent and discover your wild side, all while enjoying the Tiong Bahru Bakery’s well-loved classics and a cuppa. There is a huge variety of toasty bread and decadent pastries all hand baked with love and you will be spoilt for choice. The dining area is well-ventilated with fans, but still, do dress light if you swing by, we all know how hot and humid Singapore’s weather can be!
Crowd favourites: The famous Tiong Bahru Bakery croissant (from S$4.20) has the perfect flakiness on the outside and is airy and buttery on the inside. You can have it plain or with various toppings.
If you’re going for something heartier and more filling though, its ham and cheese croissant (S$9.50) is definitely something the kids will enjoy.

Why visit? Prive is known for being a modern and chic dining cafe located in a number of prime spots in Singapore. It’s a popular brunch spot that’s also known for serving a mix of Western and Asian fare, and a great place for anyone to hangout. Two of its outlets in particular though, are most ideal for families with young children.
Prive at Keppel Bay and Botanic Gardens both have ample space, playgrounds and scenic views that even the adults will appreciate. At Keppel Bay, you’ll get a lovely view of the marina, while its Botanic Gardens outlet is set in lush greenery.
Crowd favourites: Its roast pork belly spaghetti aglio olio (S$24) is a hearty and filling meal. We like that you get to select your spice level — non-spicy, mild, normal and extra spicy! We’re all for the spice kick from the bird’s eye chilli but with kids in the house, a non-spicy option is great for sharing.
Another dish that’s good for both adults and kids would be its Mediterranean avocado toast (S$23 for a full portion or S$13 for a kids’ set that comes with a dessert and a cup of freshly squeezed orange or green apple juice). You’d be surprised at how well the roasted chickpeas pair with avocado.
Reserve a table at Prive at Botanic Gardens via Chope.
9. Huber’s Bistro
22 Dempsey Road
Open: Tuesday to Friday (11am to 10pm), Saturday and Sunday (9.30am to 10pm)

Why visit? Serving up quality produce that’s fresh from its very own famed Huber’s Butchery, Huber’s Bistro is a spot you really can’t go wrong with, especially if you’re a meat lover. It’s a family-friendly European-style eatery that’s nestled within the butchery, with a sizeable outdoor playground that has numerous features just next to it for your young ones to enjoy.
Besides delicious cooked meat of various types and cuts, it also offers cold cuts and charcuterie boards. Overall, it’s a laid-back place that’s spacious, comfortable and welcoming for families.
Crowd favourites: Huber’s dry aged beef burger, 200g (S$24) is a standout item on the menu for its flavourful, juicy and tender patty that’s also very reasonably priced.
There are items specially for kids, but its meatloaf (S$15.50) on the main menu is also a good option. It’s well-seasoned and well-portioned, and comes served with an egg, creamed spinach and mashed potatoes.
10. Cafe Melba
Goodman Arts Centre, Block N, 01-56, 90 Goodman Road
Open: Monday to Sunday (9am to 9pm)
Mediapolis, 1 Stars Avenue, 03-01
Open: Monday to Thursday (8am to 9pm), Friday to Sunday (8am to 10pm)

Why visit? Cafe Melba is another well-known kid-friendly restaurant in Singapore thanks to its locations in Goodman Arts Centre where there’s a massive lawn for children to run freely, and at Mediapolis near One-North where space is also abundant.
Besides an abundance of space, it also has bouncy castles and activities for children set up across both outlets over the weekend. Indoors, you can keep your kids busy with colouring sheets and a variety of board games, or the kid’s corner.
When it comes to the food, you may be paying slightly more for the kid-friendly concept here, but for some decent fare and excellent entertainment for your children, it’s well worth it!
Crowd favourites: Its thin crust pizzas are rather well-received — go for its parma ham & rocket pizza (from S$26 for 12-inch pizza) for a delightful balance of flavours.
Kids will love the kids’ menu where they can enjoy a mini angus burger (S$14) that comes with a choice of fries or steamed vegetables, a choice of Yakult or an Oatside chocolate malt oat milk, and an apple popsicle for dessert.
11. Baker and Cook — Dempsey
30C Loewen Road
Open: Monday to Friday (8am to 9.30pm), Saturday and Sunday (8am to 10pm)

Why visit? Nestled in the lush greenery and tranquil beauty of Dempsey, Baker and Cook at Loewen Road is the only outlet within the brand’s twelve outlets that features a spacious and vibrant outdoor playground that will keep your kids busy for quite a while. For those unfamiliar with the brand, the artisan bakery is known for its freshly baked breads and pastries, brunch items, and pillowy sourdough pizzas that it sells under its sister brand Plank.
Should you decide to dine there and have your kids play at the playground, you’ll be able to watch them either through the glass windows if you sit indoors, or you’ll be right beside the play area if you choose to dine al fresco instead.
Crowd favourites: A special at the Baker and Cook Dempsey outlet is its sourdough Dutch baby pancakes (S$23) that’s served with banana compote, fresh berries and pecans.
For the kids, the mini Mo & Jo cheeseburger (S$16) that’s made with Plank’s signature Angus beef patty will definitely be a treat.

Why visit? Paradise Group concept Beauty in the Pot, more affectionately known as BITP, has long been known to be a kid-friendly restaurant in Singapore thanks to its in-house playgrounds that also helps set it aside from its other big name competitor (you know who we’re talking about).
Hotpot meals are usually a long-drawn affair, so a playground can be a game-changer with young kids in tow.
Of course it helps that BITP’s ingredients are high-quality and consistently fresh, and when it comes to its soup broths, the depth of flavour is unbeatable thanks to having been slow-cooked for hours to perfection.
Crowd favourites: Its beauty collagen broth (starting from S$34.80 for a single pot) is thick and creamy, and is what keeps its loyal fan base coming back so that’s definitely a must-have.
Its vitamin C tomato sweet corn broth (starting from S$22.80 for a single pot) is also another great choice for kids. Choose from a variety of proteins, seafood, vegetables, and carbs across a range of prices to have with your selected broth.

Why visit? Many restaurants that are more kid-friendly in Singapore serve Western fare, but JB 101 Firewokz gamely chooses to serve Asian fare. It dishes up hearty zichar fare from three different locations in Singapore, and makes for a reliable spot to get your seafood and wok hei fix.
It’s a place that prioritises not just its food but also fun, with well-maintained play areas to keep children entertained. If you’re lucky, you might even catch its roving magician with magic tricks that will delight the young ones. The cherry on top? You can even enjoy free flow complimentary ice-cream at the end of your meal. How’s that for an all-round experience?
Crowd favourites: The clear favourite here is its signature crab bee hoon (seasonal price) that comes with a generous serving of crab in a flavour-filled broth that has been soaked up by the bee hoon.
Another dish you’ll want to try is its salted egg bitter gourd (from S$12.50) — a good way to get your kids to try bitter gourd, because it is that tasty!
14. Ola Beach Club
46 Siloso Beach Walk
Open: Monday to Thursday (10am to 9pm), Friday (10am to 10pm), Saturday (9am to 10pm), Sunday (9am to 9pm)

Why visit? When it comes to places for kids, Sentosa definitely comes to mind. There are so many dining spots and attractions in Sentosa, but there is one place that has the best of everything — beach, pool and good food. That’s none other than Ola Beach Club, a splendid place where you’ll get to savour umami Hawaiian-inspired food and drinks by the pool, with good music and even better vibes all throughout.
There is no entrance fee, but if you’d like to use its dining tables and daybeds, there will be a minimum spend of S$50 per adult. Do make a reservation because it can get crowded, especially over the weekends.
Crowd favourites: Ola’s poke bowl (S$25) is a refreshing treat that certainly does justice to Hawaiian fare. You’d get to customise it based on your selection of main, grain or salad, sides and flavour.
Kids can choose from its kids’ menu — the kids’ fish and chips (S$15) or the kids’ beef bolognese (S$18) are great options that they’ll enjoy with a glass of orange or apple juice.
Reserve a table at Ola Beach Club via Chope.
15. Bee’s Knees at the Garage
Singapore Botanic Gardens, Level 1, 50 Cluny Park Road
Open: Monday to Sunday (8am to 10pm)

Why visit? With the bee-autiful Botanic Gardens as backdrop, Bee’s Knees at the Garage will be a perfect place for a family day out. Housed in a restored heritage building now called The Garage, you can opt for indoor or outdoor seating — we’d recommend outdoors for the complete garden experience.
Enjoy a diverse menu that is primarily Western but includes a few local flavours. With such a lovely garden environment (where it seems it’s also easier to get your kids to bee-have!), it’s no wonder Bee’s Knees is a favourite for visitors to the Gardens, locals and tourists alike. You’d have to drop by yourself to find out what the buzz is all about!
Crowd favourites: Its laksa prawn pasta (S$23.50) is a popular choice that injects a local twist to pasta, paired with pan-seared prawns. Kids get to enjoy their very own kids set menu (S$18) which comprises a starter, juice, choice of mains and dessert.
Alternatively, you can even purchase picnic Buzzkets (from S$70) or dog-friendly picnic Buzzkets (from S$98), they’re all-in — mats, table, even cushions and of course food — so you won’t have to worry about anything at all. Just choose your favourite spot and settle in for a lovely afternoon. Do note that these have to be pre-ordered three days in advance.
Reserve a table at Bee’s Knees via Chope.
