World’s 50 Best Bars 2025 results are out, with 2 Singapore bars in — Jigger & Pony on top at No. 9

Evan Mua | October 8, 2025

The biggest event of the year for the cocktail bar world just went down today: The World’s 50 Best Bars list has just been announced!

The prestigious awards are an annual affair where we see the best bars from all around the globe being recognised for their efforts in providing the best drinks and experiences for their guests.

This year, the World’s 50 Best Bars ceremony was held in Hong Kong.

This comes just a few months after the Asia edition, which was announced on July 15, where we saw five Singapore bars selected, amongst the best in the region.

So how did the World’s 50 Best Bars 2025 rankings go?

First up, the numero uno on the World’s 50 Best Bars 2025 is Bar Leone coming in as Asia’s top dog at No. 1!

We don’t know how it keeps getting all these laurels, but it takes its crown once again. This comes after taking pole position in this year’s Asia rankings in July, its second consecutive year doing so.

P.S. It only opened last year!

As for Singapore, we have two bars representing our city this year — down from four last year.

Unsurprisingly, legendary bar Jigger & Pony was deemed Singapore’s top bar at No. 9.

It’s a perennial feature on the lists, and came in at No. 5 last year as the second highest in Asia, after Bar Leone.

Besides its No. 9 position, Jigger & Pony’s creative director and partner, Uno Jang, was named the winner of the prestigious Altos Bartenders’ Bartender Award 2025, an award voted on by industry peers.

Elsewhere in Singapore, Nutmeg & Clove also lands itself a spot on the World’s 50 Best Bars 2025 list at No. 50.

Although Singapore’s performance paled in comparison to previous years, this year we see London and New York being home to the most bars on the list, with four bars each,

In Asia, Tokyo is the city with the highest number of entries, with three.

Besides the World’s 50 Best Bars rankings, the award also recognises an extended list of Nos. 51 to 100, which was revealed just a while ago on September 24.

Amongst the many deserving bars, we see one other Singaporean bar being recognised: The creative hyperlocal outfit Native at No. 84.

Last year, Singapore was one of the most well represented Asian cities with seven bars, across both the World’s 50 Best Bars and extended lists — this year’s three marks quite a significant drop in representation.
