We marked SG60 with a food-themed treasure hunt at Jewel Changi Airport

Shannon Ong | August 18, 2025

With all these food trails popping up, Singapore is anything but boring — foodies and adventure-seekers have plenty to feast on and explore.

Earlier this year, there was the first-ever food treasure hunt, Gourmaze, where we got to uncover Chinatown’s cultural roots and learn about the stories behind its beloved, long-standing establishments.

More recently, Tiong Bahru Bakery teamed up with its sister brand Common Man Coffee Roasters to organise Sip & Stroll for SG60 — a cafe-hopping trail that takes you through some of Singapore’s most loved historic gems.

And just last week, we embarked on The Official Jewel Food Trail at the iconic Jewel Changi, organised by Hidden Singapore — a flavour-packed journey that celebrates the dishes and tastes at the heart of Singapore’s vibrant food culture.

Designed to take place over one-and-a-half to two hours, this trail takes you through the iconic Jewel Changi to uncover the food spots hidden within its walls.

With the Void Deck Cat as your gamemaster, your journey is guided by puzzles and riddles via WhatsApp — you’ll be led to a total of eight flavour-packed stops.

Tickets are priced at S$60 for solo players or S$55 per person when you bring along friends — and trust us, solving clues is a lot more fun with company.

The Official Jewel Food Trail has hourly slots available daily from 12pm to 8pm, and is only around until October 26, so you’ll want to book your spot on its website before then.

After you’ve booked your spot, proceed to the starting point (ours was at Gift by Changi Airport on the mall’s fourth floor) at your designated time to start your hunt!

We’ll let you uncover the surprises yourself. After all, half the fun is in the chase (and the taste), but here’s a teaser of what you can expect!

A sweet trail

First, you’ll kick off the trail with a goodie bag filled with hidden merch (we won’t spoil what’s inside, but trust us, it’s something adorable you’ll definitely want to keep).

Clues in hand, we made our way to our first stop — somewhere filled with a mix of tempting aromas drifting through the air. We’re keeping the exact location under wraps, but let’s just say it took a while to spot our first clue amidst the buzz.

After unlocking each stop, you can redeem your treats through a link sent by the Void Deck Cat, and receive your well-earned goodies from the proprietor of each stop!

A taste of our day

We embarked on the race ourselves and had a blast racking our brains to solve riddles and clues, all while uncovering fun facts about Singapore’s rich food culture.

Along the way, we also got to savour different snacks from around the world, adding an extra layer of flavour to the experience.

The trail took us through different corners of Jewel Changi, where we went to places and spotted details we’d never noticed before — and of course, ate well at the food stops along the way.

The trail gave us a glimpse into being tourists for the day, snapping photos at the iconic indoor waterfall and exploring hidden nooks.

In just two hours, we managed to eat, learn, and we even walked enough (and burned enough calories) to make up for all the treats we ate!

What made this experience even better was that it was fully air-conditioned because it all takes place within the comfort of Jewel Changi — it’s a true foodie race, but one that you can easily embark on, without breaking a sweat.

Whether you’re looking for a fun date idea or an activity with friends and family, this trail is a great way to challenge your brains, share a few laughs, and maybe even put your teamwork to the test!
