Lobby Lounge at The Westin Singapore launches nostalgic White Rabbit candy-inspired afternoon tea

If you grew up in Singapore, chances are you’ll remember the iconic White Rabbit candy.

If it’s been a while since your last bite, this White Rabbit–themed afternoon tea at The Westin Singapore offers a nostalgic throwback with a refined twist.

As part of the Chinese New Year collaboration with White Rabbit and Hao Food SG, the afternoon tea features White Rabbit–inspired flavours across both sweet and savoury bites, alongside exclusive merchandise to be won — all set against an indulgent afternoon-tea experience.

And it’s not just any plain ol’ afternoon tea — set on Level 32 of the hotel, it’s enjoyed  against sweeping panoramic views of Marina Bay, setting the stage for an afternoon of calm, above the city.

Afternoon tea for two?

The Once Upon a Tea Time with White Rabbit set is available for two seatings daily until mid-May. It runs from 12pm to 2pm and 2.30pm to 5pm on weekdays, and 1.30pm to 3.30pm and 4pm to 6pm on weekends.

Priced at S$78 per diner, with a minimum of two guests, the experience begins with a cup of White Rabbit milk tea, alongside free-flow coffee and tea, with options ranging from green and black teas, to caffeine-free selections.

A 24-hour advance reservation is required, so be sure to book ahead.

As for the food, the selection is beautifully presented on a classic three-tiered stand of four savouries and six sweets.

While not every item features White Rabbit, those that do are thoughtfully balanced — subtly infused, rather than overpowering. This makes the experience enjoyable throughout, without feeling jelak (overly rich or cloying).

We recommend starting with the savouries, beginning with the most eye-catching dish — a baked spiny lobster topped with torched, creamy mentaiko sauce. It quickly became my favourite for its rich, luxurious bite.

The fried fritter may look modest at first glance, but it’s a surprisingly hearty nibble. Filled with crab roe paste and a hint of White Rabbit milk, it was savoury and deeply satisfying.

We couldn’t resist the adorable, aptly shaped White Rabbit milk scones. Served with three spreads, including a White Rabbit–flavoured whipped cream, the accompaniments were subtle in flavour and paired well with the buttery scones.

Another rabbit-shaped treat we couldn’t wait to try was the jiggly White Rabbit milk pudding. It was soft and silky in texture, unexpectedly addictive, and a highlight of the spread.

For a change in flavours, the White Rabbit red bean candy financier offered a light, refreshing contrast.

A live pianist sets the mood with classic melodies and Chinese New Year favourites, adding to the festive atmosphere during the experience.

White Rabbit merch to be won

With every purchase of the afternoon tea set, guests can take part in a lucky draw featuring an exciting lineup of White Rabbit merchandise and experiences from The Westin Singapore.
