Porsche opens cafe at Jewel with a 911 Carrera on display, branded swag, and Baker & Cook serving up pastries

You’ve probably noticed more and more luxury brands launching exclusive tie-ins with established F&B brands all around Singapore.

Coach, Ralph Lauren, et al. — but it’s more than just the fashion brands, luxury car brands are ramping things up too, as legendary carmaker Porsche opens a cafe at Jewel Changi, its second in Singapore!

It’s not just a car-themed cafe. Instead, Porsche’s Jewel opening is more of a one-stop shop for everything Porsche.

In fact, the snazzy red Porsche 911 Carrera at the entrance is probably what you’d notice first — fans would be able to marvel at it (without touching) and even get a wefie.

While the legendary car would be the main star for most automotive enthusiasts, the Porsche Jewel outlet has more to offer.

Although still in the works, Porsche’s Jewel space is intended to be a cosy reception spot for those looking to immerse themselves in the upcoming Porsche Experience Centre Singapore, which is set to open in 2027 and is located near the airport.

Some merch, maybe? Photo: Evan Mua/HungryGoWhere

Those looking for a piece of Porsche glamour can also dive into the retail selection that includes a whole bunch of branded merch, including limited-edition T-shirts made in partnership with local artists.

And of course, we can’t forget what we’re really there for: The spread of food available at Cafe Carrera, which is located within Porsche’s Jewel space.

Besides the merch, the menu is also crafted with care.

The food options at the Porsche Jewel cafe are created in collaboration with local cafe brand Baker & Cook, which started in 2012 and operates more than 10 outlets islandwide today.

This is actually not the first time the two brands have worked together — Baker & Cook is also behind the food offered at the Carrera Cafe outlet in Porsche’s Guoco Midtown studio.

To make things interesting, Baker & Cook has crafted an assortment of exclusives, including special sandwiches inspired by some of the legendary driving routes of the world.

For example, if you’re hankering for a taste of Italy, you can grab the Stelvio Pass (S$17) to jolt your memory.

This Changi Jewel-exclusive brings you to the blue-skied Italian alps with its airy focaccia base, juicy tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and earthy pesto.

Then there’s the heartier Tokaido (S$18) to represent the Land of the Rising Sun.

We enjoyed this croissant sandwich, which was loaded up with Japanese omelette and chicken katsu patties — two of our favourite Japanese delicacies!

Vietnamese food lovers can even satisfy their banh mi cravings with the Hai Van Pass (S$17), which is a sandwich that’s reminiscent of a banh mi, stuffed full of spicy chicken and pickled veggies!

A taste of Singapore

Given its location in our world-beloved airport, Baker & Cook also has a bunch of local-inspired exclusives for Porsche’s Jewel store, so international guests can enjoy some of our creature comforts.

There’s the ondeh ondeh cake (S$11) for those who want a fluffy and moist treat that has a nice touch of gula melaka and coconut fragrance, or the unique macaron set (S$38) for a wide spectrum of nostalgic profiles.

What kind of profiles? Well, the macarons’ flavours range from Milo to bandung!

In case you’re not too keen on the sweets, there’s also the otah pain suisse (S$7), stuffed with a lightly spiced and aromatic otah filling.

This isn’t exclusive to Porsche Jewel, but we hear it’s quite often sold out at Porsche’s Guoco Midtown studio!

Overall, the food at Porsche’s Jewel cafe is pretty solid, even though themed-cafes often prioritise an immersive experience over food quality.

Be it the country-inspired sandwiches or the local flavours, it’s a great place for a snack before you get on a plane — or maybe an alternative chill spot, if you don’t have lounge access?

This was a hosted tasting.
