Following its fiery Samyang Buldak collaboration earlier this year, KFC Singapore is keeping things pipping-hot with new limited-time offerings.

Starting tomorrow (May 14), KFC is launching the Ultimate Smokey burger, a bolder, smokier take on its popular Zinger burger, and sour cream & onion shaker fries, available till June 24.

What’s new?

At first glance, the Ultimate Smokey burger (from S$8.45) looks mostly similar to the iconic KFC Zinger burger — but deep inside, it really isn’t.

For starters, this new version brings a deeper, bolder flavour profile, loaded with smoky, savoury notes that take each bite up a notch.

At the centre of this burger is a hot and crispy Zinger chicken fillet, dressed in a generous coat of a signature smoky sauce. Reminiscent of barbecue sauce but less sweet, it delivers subtle heat and charred undertones that deepens the overall flavour.

The burger is layered with some crisp lettuce, pickles, melted cheddar, and smoked chicken bacon slices.

Compared to the classic Zinger, this version is noticeably more loaded — going beyond the usual lettuce-and-mayo combo — with extra ingredients, varied textures, and bolder flavours packed into every bite.

Its soft and buttery brioche buns, which adds a slightly sweet finish to the ensemble.

Alongside the burger comes KFC’s latest sidekick, too: The sour cream & onion shaker fries (from S$4.90).

Admittedly, these fries are quite hard to resist, especially for those who love Pringle’s sour cream & onion chips. These taste just like them, but in a fluffier form — what’s there not to love?

Dusted with a tangy seasoning blend, these fries deliver a creamy, onion-y kick that is pretty addictive, you’ve been warned.

You can try both new items in the Ultimate Smokey burger special (from S$9.95) meal, which comes with the new burger, shaker fries and a drink.

If that’s not quite enough, go for one of KFC’s signature box meals — the Ultimate Smokey burger box (from S$12.80), complete with an additional piece of fried chicken, the classic sides of whipped potato and fries, and a drink.

For group dining, there’s the Mega Feast (from S$38.90), a sharing platter made to satisfy a table of three to four hungry mouths.

These limited-time menu items are available for dine-in and takeaway at most KFC outlets islandwide, with the exception of Singapore Polytechnic, Sentosa, and Singapore Zoo outlets, and also for delivery, till June 24.

Whether you’re a diehard Zinger fan or love sour cream and onion-flavoured snacks, we think this newest KFC launch is worth the try — how wrong can you go with the classics, really?
