KFC launches limited-edition Mofusand merch, brings back cereal chicken
To start off the new year with a bang, KFC is collaborating with Mofusand, a series of illustrated cat characters, to launch an exclusive merchandise collection.
Mark your calendars for Jan 13, 2025, to be among the first few to get your hands on these limited-edition pieces, which include plushies, stickers, bag charms, and more.
KFC is also bringing back its cereal chicken and launching an all-new cereal burger, to mark the upcoming Lunar New Year festivities!
KFC x Mofusand collection
You’ve probably seen the wave of Mofusand merchandise that’s taken hold in the last year or so — adorable cats dressed up in amusing costumes, including animals and food.
So you best believe these adorable KFC x Mofusand collectibles will leave your heart melting. These kitties will be dressed in KFC icons such as KFC chicken buckets, egg tarts, and chicken drumsticks.
Here’s how you can snag these whimsical items from January 13!
We have our eye on these four-inch-tall KFC x Mofusand plushie keychains, which are perfect as bag charms or attaching your keys to.
These soft and fluffy trinkets will be available at S$12.95 with any purchase of a cereal chicken box (S$12.95) or cereal chicken burger box (S$12.80). Each customer will be limited to two keychains.
There are three designs available, with one being unveiled each week:
- From Jan 13: Bucket
- From Jan 20: Egg tart
- From Jan 27: Drumstick
If you’re looking for something more huggable (to take vent all that cute aggression on), there’s a larger, eight-inch bucket plushie up for grabs, too.
Similarly, diners can purchase it for S$19.95 with any cereal chicken box or cereal chicken burger box.
However, each customer will be limited to one of these plushies, and these will be available only at selected stores: Compass One, Causeway Point, Jurong Point, Kallang, Nex, Northpoint City, Tampines Mall, VivoCity, and West Mall.
These will be available from February 5 onwards and in a limited quantity, too.
Even if you’re not looking to fork out extra for the Mofusand merchandise, you won’t be going home empty-handed.
A minimum spend of S$12 in a single receipt during breakfast hours will net you a free blind sticker pack. This means you’ll receive a randomly chosen sticker sheet, out of three possible designs.
Otherwise, any cereal chicken or cereal burger bundles (meal, box or family feast) will get you a free KFC x Mofusand red packet set. This comes in two designs and will be available Jan 13 to Feb 18, while stocks last.
KFC’s cereal chicken and all-new burger
Besides the Mofusand merchandise, KFC is bringing back its fan-favourite cereal chicken (from S$4.80), from Jan 8 onwards.
It’s been a recurring item since its debut in 2019, but if you’ve never tried it, it pays homage to zi char-style cereal chicken, with its blend of cereal, curry leaves and chilli, and KFC’s signature hot and crispy chicken as its base.
KFC is also offering an all-new twist on the dish: A cereal chicken burger (from S$7.60), which sports its signature Zinger fillet, with cheese and mayonnaise sandwiched between two soft brioche buns.
These items can be enjoyed a la carte, or in bundles. In the spirit of the Lunar New Year festivities, share the calories with your loved ones with the cereal chicken family feast (S$41.95), which includes five pieces of cereal chicken, two cereal chicken burgers, six nuggets, three crispy tenders and two medium whipped potatoes.
Smaller portions are available, too, as solo portions — the cereal chicken box (S$12.95) or cereal burger box (S$12.80) — and buddy meals good for two (S$23.95).
KFC’s fried chicken skin is also making a comeback from January 2 to 18, too.
If you’ve never tried it before, it is essentially KFC’s signature hand-breaded crispy chicken skin, available in two flavours — spicy (S$5.45 a la carte) and original recipe (S$4.95 a la carte).
KFC’s cereal chicken and KFC x Mofusand merchandise are available for dine-in and takeaway at all KFC outlets, except KFC Sentosa and Singapore Zoo, and major delivery platforms.
For the latest eats, check out Uptown cafe, a vibey brunch spot at Great World with vintage fashion and Nana and Friends Cafe, the new “blind box” bingsu concept at Suntec City. Alternatively, keep a look out on the newest openings in Singapore.
