Not just bottomless steaks, but fries and beer, too, at Hathaway this October

CBD folks will likely recognise Hathaway, tucked right at the base of Capital Tower — a familiar go-to for client lunches and after-work dinners among office-goers in the area.

The restaurant is known for its cosmopolitan flavours, which draw on Singapore’s place within the Southeast Asian region, as well as our past history as a British colony.

You’ll see this replicated in its signatures, which include the beloved Ah Nya’s fish curry (S$34), a recipe handed down from the founder’s grandmother. Other highlights include grilled octopus (S$28) and pan-seared fjord trout (S$28), each reflecting the region’s rich culinary heritage.

Step inside and you’ll find a warm, rattan-accented space with soft lighting and cosy booth-style seating — the kind of setting that makes lingering over dinner feel natural.

If you’ve read our recent coverage on the latest value-for-money steak deals, you might might have guessed by now that I’m huge steak lover, which is why this next bit has my full attention.

For Oktoberfest, Hathaway has launched a pretty good bargain: A bottomless steak-and-fries dinner for S$58, with the option to add free-flow beers at S$48.

It takes place on weekdays from 5pm till closing, with last orders at 9pm, and will run until the end of October only.

Unlimited steaks that taste better than they look

Each serving comes with a 200g slab of marbled beef striploin and a generous pile of golden fries.

At first glance, the steak appears quite unremarkable, but after biting into it, any doubts were shut down instantly.

The marbled, melt-in-the-mouth meat was tender with just the right chew, and had a full, buttery depth.

What really stood out was the consistency of its offerings: Plate after plate delivered the same juicy, flavourful experience, which isn’t something you can usually say about a bottomless steak deal.

Each steak is paired with chimichurri on the side, too. Instead of the usual bright, tangy taste you’d get with other versions, Hathaway’s tasted warmer and slightly earthy — almost like a mild Indian curry, with the spices gently blending into the sauce.

No need to think twice about topping up for unlimited beer

For an additional S$48, you get free-flow beer with two options on tap — Asahi light and Asahi dark. If you’re someone who enjoys your pints, the add-on is pretty worth it, given that you can drink to your heart’s content (responsibly, of course).

And with what better sides than some of Hathway’s unlimited golden fries?

You’ll want to check this out before this deal ends on October 31 — because trust me, unlimited steaks, fries and beer isn’t something Hathaway is likely to offer again anytime soon.
