Think of Christmas and you’d probably imagine raucous merry-making, feasting and toasting — it’s a time when everybody comes together to catch up and take stock about the year gone by.

For such festive occasions, alcoholic drinks are a staple at these occasions, but as we all know, not all of us can drink freely.

Whether you’re just watching your health, are the designated driver, or just looking to order an equally delicious, alcohol-free meal for the kids, an ice-cold, fizzy soft drink works wonders in cutting through those rich turkey meals and creamy log cakes.

Why not take a sip of Pepsi to refresh the palate, so you don’t feel too jelak?

Here’s 4 meals with Pepsi that you can get on GrabFood that work just as well to mark the year-end festivities!

1. Popeyes

Popeyes’ six-piece festive feast (S$19.90, U.P. S$27.10) comes with — as you’d expect — six pieces of crunchy chicken goodness, alongside a large cheese fries, a large mashed potatoes and two cups of regular-sized Pepsi.

The bundle is perfectly sized to be shared with a buddy, but if you’ve got more voracious appetites in your party, nothing’s stopping you from combining two or three sets for a pretty legit dinner spread, fast food-style.

Somehow, nothing says Christmas quite like chicken and mashed potatoes are always a welcome addition at any festive feast.

Finish this off with everybody’s favourite finger food — fries — and a big swig of ice-cold Pepsi to cut the grease.

2. The Manhattan Fish Market

The Manhattan Fish Market’s trio family meal (S$58.90, U.P. S$91.40) has something for everybody and comfortably feeds three hungry revellers, especially for those among us who must have rice with every meal.

You can expect its signature fish — a whole fried seabass (400 to 500g) — battered fried chicken, mushroom soup, garlic herb rice and Pepsi at a whopping 35% off its original price.

It even works well for feasters who’ve been missing their cai png (economic rice) — there’s meat, soup and rice. (And if we dare say so, even veggies. Looks at the mushroom soup). Wash this all down with a can of Pepsi for a satisfying finish.

3. Texas Chicken

Texas Chicken’s buddy bundle (S$19.90, U.P. S$27.10) is solving the paiseh piece problem, one meal at a time.

There’s no need to fight over who (doesn’t) get the last morsel here. The meal comprises a Tex Supreme burger, two pieces of chicken, two side dishes and two Pepsi — a neatly portioned out meal for two diners.

Another plus: Minimal clean-up is required too, since it’s mostly finger food!

4. Gelare

The classic combo of waffles and ice cream is just so inexplicably comforting, whether you’re getting this as a sweet treat to end the meal or enjoying this as your main course. (Hey, it’s Christmas — do whatever you want.)

Get Gelare’s waffle and ice cream set (S$19.50, U.P. S$28), which comes with a classic waffle, a regular tub of ice cream and a Pepsi to cleanse the palate afterward.

You can even jazz it up with a sprinkle or two of powdered sugar or a dollop of whipped cream from your own kitchen, if that’s what you prefer.
