World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025: One Singapore restaurant makes the list, while Peru on top
It’s a big day for chefs and F&B staff all over the world: The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 rankings have just been announced!
For those who aren’t familiar: The award dates all the way back to 2002 and is seen as one of the biggest in the industry, comparable to the Michelin Guide in prestige.
The yearly affair sees the creme de la creme of the dining world come together to celebrate all their achievements, with this year’s event being held in Turin, Italy.

As is tradition, the World’s 50 Best Restaurants extended list, which comprises restaurants ranked No. 51 to 100, was announced earlier on June 10.
On that extended list, we have two Singapore restaurants getting their laurels — Modern Singaporean restaurant Labyrinth at No. 97 and wildly popular smokehouse Burnt Ends at No. 93.
So how did the rest of Singapore fare for the World’s 50 Best Restaurants and who clinched top dog? Let’s find out!
One Singapore restaurant on World’s 50 Best list for 2025

Only one local restaurant made it onto the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list for 2025: Odette at No. 25.
This is the third consecutive year Odette has made the list, with the three-Michelin-starred French restaurant also being the only Singapore restaurant to make the list in the previous two editions.
In total, we have three local restaurants making the cut for the World’s 50 Best Restaurants for 2025 (including Nos. 51 to 100):
- Odette
- Burnt Ends
- Labyrinth

As for who’s on top, this year sees Maido from Peru clinching the highest honours with its fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine.
While only one Singapore restaurant is featured in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list for 2025, there’s still plenty of love for F&B within the region.
For one, we see Bangkok’s Gaggan coming in at a comfortable No. 6, after topping the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list in March.

It’s followed by Sezanne in Tokyo at No. 7 as the only two Asian restaurants to be included in the top 10.
At the same time, another Bangkok restaurant is coming in hot, as Potong debuts at a spectacular No. 13, the highest new entry this year! This Thai-Chinese restaurant is led by chef Pichaya “Pam” Soontornyanakij, who takes home the prize for World’s Best Female Chef this year.
In fact, Bangkok is the big winner as six of its restaurants are included in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025 list.
That’s the most number of restaurants from any city in the world — doing the region proud!
