Five SG bars on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 list, Bar Leone from Hong Kong takes the top spot again

This just in: Jigger & Pony from Singapore has come in No. 3 on the Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 list, with four other Singapore bars also in the top 50 rankings.

Leading the list are Bar Leone from Hong Kong and Zest from Seoul, both of which also ranked No. 1 and No. 2 respectively last year.

The results were announced tonight at Macau’s Wynn Palace, and marks the first time ever that the 50 Best Bars ceremony is being held in the glitzy city. It previously hosted several editions of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants. 

Prior to the awards ceremony, the extended list of Asia’s bars ranked Nos. 51 to 100 was released on July 3, with a considerable amount of movement across ranking bars.

Today’s results for Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 mirrors this trend, with just five Singapore bars in the 2025 list, down from 11 Singapore bars the year before.

In another surprising turn, 20 bars out of the top 50 are new entrants to the list.

Five Singapore bars in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 list

With its showing of five bars in the list, Singapore comes behind Bangkok and Hong Kong, with seven and six bars within the top 50, respectively.

Ranked in order, these are the Singapore bars in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 list:

3. Jigger & Pony (No. 3 in 2024)
23. Offtrack, Singapore (No. 25 in 2024)
24. Nutmeg & Clove (No. 6 in 2024)
44. Cat Bite Club (No. 56 in 2024)
45. Native Bar (No. 31 in 2024)

Notably, hidden Duxton bar Cat Bite Club clawed its way into 50 Best list, landing snugly in No. 44, up from its No. 56 showing last year.

None of the Singapore bars on the list, both the top 50 and extended, are new entries per se— all had featured in the 2024 lists.

Bar Leone is the best bar in Asia for the second consecutive year

After a stellar first entry — it catapulted straight to pole position in 2024 — Bar Leone in Hong Kong continues to shine, retaining its top spot this year.

Nonetheless, Bangkok takes the lead as the city with the most bars in the list, with Hong Kong closely following with six bars.

In particular, Drywave Cocktail Studio, a stylish bar serving refined classics in Thonglor, Bangkok debuted at No. 5, earning it the Disaronno Highest New Entry award, too.

The highest scoring entrant from the same city, Bar Us, is No. 4, making it the top bar in Thailand for 2025.
