Stuffed
Been meaning to check out this place and finally got to try it with CG last fri.
Being abit wary on the fusion items, i was torn between their fish n chips and the tempura platter platter but decided to try sumthing different. Went for the seafood tempura platter which I will soon regret. CG had the seared codfish and we ordered a side of stuffed chicken wings.
Food came pretty fast. They were very generous with the salads so i was happy *yay*. The chicken was good. Stuffing was generous and it was tasty. It could use abit more kick though. More spices!!..
CG's codfish was good. The portion seemed quite big and they were generous with the wedges which looked big and good. My main was acceptable. 3 small slices of fish, a few calamari and 3 prawns with the thin fries and and salad. The fish was alright but prawns n calamari were not really that fresh. Tempura batter was forgetable. and same goes for the fries. The only thing i liked about my dish was the wasabi mayonaise and the salad. Service was good. Attentive staff and there was one that stood out. But not in a bad way. Intresting and kinda cool. We got a $10 voucher which we can use for the next visit.
Did noice our neighbour ordering a phad thai and it smelled goood. might order that the next time.

east-west fusion
Met mn for a spot of shopping before having dinner here. Looking at the menu, the diverse options of cuisine sort of disoriented me a little. Korean, Thai, Pasta, Western, Chinese.....
But generally, I tend to stay away from the asian options at such joints. Sceptical, I am but I think I am just playing it safe. So I am left with not many options to decide my orders for the evening.
We were ravenous and so ordered a stuffed chix wings ala Thai style ($8.80 for a plate of 4), a seafood tempura for mn and a seared cod for myself.
The stuffed chix wings were really nothing fantastic but alright as a simple snack. Just stuffed with chix meat and some other ingredients that I did not bother to decipher. Hee..I simply cannot forget P&P's version. :P
The seafood tempura ($14) doesn't really looks very enticing and understood from mn that it was sort of a wrong choice. Details wise, I shall leave it to her in her review. :)
The seared cod ($15.50) was pretty fresh and not bad. Although the light sprinkling of fried garlic on top did not really help in anyway to the taste somehow. This dish came with lots of potato wedges and generous serving of greens. The only thing I needed to mention about this dish is that I found fish bones in my cod fillet. It was a tad unexpected and sorta marred the dining experience a bit. Lucky, I did not swallow them.
SErvice was not bad and one of the staff was sure eye-catching. I was trying hard not to stare. Don't get me wrong, its not cos super yandao. Its the make up, black gothic colour on the eyes and pretty white base on the face. Coupled with blond spiky hair and bright coloured tee shirt, it was a refreshing change from the typical black uniform that everyone else was wearing.

Interesting concept...
One of the few restaurants I've visited that serves fusion cuisine. And I can't say I'm entirely satisfied. Not disappointed though. Cream Bistro has a rather interesting location, within Pacific Plaza. Just beside That CD Shop with a few seat for Alfresco dining and the rest of it indorrs.
A nice place to have a private meal with your dining companions and to a certain degree, indulge in people watching. Since the seats are quite a distance from the "main" walkway towards Lido.
Their menu consists of Japanese, Indonesian and Korean cuisine. I'm not too sure if they had others but this is what I could remember. Some of the dishes were interesting such as spaghetti goreng with chicken ($9) and sambal seafood ($14).
I tried the sambal seafood which was made up of batter friend seafood (prawns, sliced fish and squid) and all covered with rather sour sambal. But the sambal wasn't that spicy and it was actually quite tasty. Although, the batter used for frying the seafood was pretty salty thus masking the actual taste of each ingredient making them all taste the same.
My dining companions who had the spagetti goreng commented the sauce was "unique" and gave an amused expression. I'm not too sure what to figure out from there. They finished the dishes though so I believe it should have been tolerable.
The service staff there are friendly, but not too on the ball. They were willing to help at all times nevertheless.
The beverage list contains the standard soft drinks, coffee and tea. Their dessert menu was rather simple too but contained dishes such as deep friend ice cream (Didn't look too japanese so I shan't call it tempura)
